Korean Drama " Jinxed At First " is a romantic comedy with a dark twist.
The first part is lighter and has plenty of sweet, adorable moments. However, after that, things got confusing and repeatetive. The mystery was boring and all over the place and the drama kept focusing on its weakest plotlines, rather than its strongest.
The romance, in addition, was cute and the couple had chemistry, but the ending was a let down. Also, the love story was predictable and there were some overdramatic moments.
Finally, the performances were great by everyone in the cast.
So, overall, three out of ten..

The first few episodes seemed promising. Na In Woo was fun to watch and Seohyun's cute behavior while playing Seul Bi complimented each other. However, soon after its start, the show became stale and boring. The plot felt stuck when Seon Min Joon kept looking for Seul Bi and after finding her, he decided not to forcefully take her back but instead let her live with Soo Kwang (Na In Woo). This storyline kept on going until it became boring. The action picked up in later episodes (I'd say ep 13/14).
I can't even say what exactly the drama was about as its plot seemed to be extremely slow, almost frozen over the middle of the drama. To me, this drama isn't worth it unless you are a fan of someone from the cast.

Sucked at first sight, actually. It certainly failed to leave a good first impression. The first episode was horrendous in all regards, especially when you get some context later on. Subsequently, this led to all kinds of problems with the narrative. At first, the story presented a big predicament to overcome, as described in the synopsis, what would ML do once he meet her again, but the drama decided to nullify the tension in a record time and turn the drama into a mindless slice of life with bubbly visuals. The unusual romance was never justified, the drama also attempted to play the same scenario for their romance at the end but it only made things worse by creating an unnecessary new diversion that came with it more problems, it just doesn't work unless one of them was mentally challenged. One of the drama's genres is mystery, but there was barely any and what was present was surface level cheap addition.
I love this kdrama. Its so fun and make me happy. The story is very interesting. The girl who can't live outside beacuse of her power and a man who find she and a romance between then.
A really different and entertaining drama. Watched before reading any reviews & was extremely surprised many didn't like it. For me it's not the best ever, but certainly worth the time and emotional investment getting into the story.
An unusual pairing of lead actors who made their roles extremely believable plus the way all cast members interacted in their varied roles was phenomenal. I've seen Na In Woo before but not Seohyun (until I snuck a peek at 'First Night With The Duke' and wanted to see more of her acting style). She's a very good actress and I like her style. Will be looking for her in other dramas now; but am waiting for all episodes of 'First Night...' to complete. This review is dated 7/6/2025.
My opinion is, the story got a little off track towards the end with several characters being reconciled after a lifetime of bad choices. Granted it was a tricky/tenuous way to achieve the desired ending (which is happy but also not fairytale - be warned; watch until the very, very end). So ignoring this one caveat, I found 'Jinxed at First' a very satisfying drama in my opinion. Maybe other viewers had preconceived notions about how everything should have gone. After all, people's tastes differ when it comes to entertainment. I say, Give it a chance. You many enjoy as much as I did
Special Note: . When we first meet the main character is Seul Bi, she's the most innocent and joyful person imaginable. Midway through the drama, you the viewer, will have to endure changes in her personality as things get complicated and very unhappy. It's well done but also heart rending. Another actress might not have done as good a job. So I personally think our lead actress made this drama a real treat
Additionally, the soundtrack supports the tale telling so well - never causing the viewer to disengage from the plot. So WELL DONE you might overlook it how brilliantly he music worked.
