Time Addicts

I watched this movie on a Friday night on Netflix. It was slow to start but when the story picked up I was hooked.

Good movie to watch alone or with friends. This feels like an independent movie and also shot in Australia, near to where I live.

Mixing time travel and drug addiction with a satisfying ending make it worth a watch.

The camera work and background score complements the pacing and mood of the film. The director has kept his shots to sustain longer which adds to the unpredictablility in the screenplay and action. With no big stars the movie still makes it a worthy watch.

Popular Hollywood science fiction movies are edited to give a pacy feel. Time Addicts works more like an art movie than commercial film for me.

Definitely worth a watch.

I really wanted to LOVE this, especially after I was sucked into the trailer, the concept had promise but wasn't executed correctly. Firstly, the drug addicted characters did not ring true to life, I could see the actors phoning it in or trying very hard to be a bogan junkie without having the acting chops to pull it off. It didn't feel authentic like the writer / director didn't experience it and wanted to make a film about it. You can see when someone hasn't had lived experience. Especially the lead actress she really needed to go further with her character, she seemed to OK to be a druggie. I didn't quite believe her performance. The lead actor was trying to play it cool or eccentric, but it didn't land either. The other ensemble cast were actually quite good. The story is lacking so much, long scenes with pacing issues and boring, I found myself fast forwarding as NOTHING literally was happening. I can't believe yet another terrible funding choice from VIC SCREEN and the funding bodies whereas other filmmakers are struggling to make films who are far more talented.

Overall its photographed well, all technical aspects are very good, nice locations and music but that where it ends.

For a film about smoking pipes and travelling through time it was proper entertaining. Anyone upset about the dialogue or swearing clearly hasn't hung out with Aussie junkies and that's disappointing. These people are the salt of the earth....literally....they'll harvest salt from the ocean for a point. The male lead (Charles) was fantastic with a Captain Jack Sparrow-esque performance if he was drinking tinnies and grew up in housing commish. Anyway, smoke a bowl and enjoy a weird journey into the niche cookery of meth subculture in Melbourne, Australia. And if you hate it, go and watch the latest marvel movie for the 12th time.

First, i suggest you go in blind, or immediately after the trailer, and watch at least until they get to the house. I almost turned it off before that and I'm so glad I didn't.

This is a film that I thought would be a typical British sci-fi comedy, if there is such a thing. I thought it would lean more towards humor like "Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel", but this is a pretty serious movie with some well thought out implications. I actually like this better than "Frequently asked Questions...", although it does have some similarities. Without spoiling anything I will tell you that this too occurs in one primary location, and this too has multiple versions, or multiple timelines piling on top of each other.

If you are looking for a good watch that is sci-fi-ish, time travel, then you've got it. I couldn't find a version with captions, and I would have appreciated that in certain parts that are a bit hard to make out, but other than that this was a good flick.

Why did I watch the whole movie? So that you don't have to! I usually love any kind of time travel movie, but this one is truly terrible! And why did I give it a '1'? To counter the reviews here with '10', as they are fake which you can easily verify because the reviewers don't have any other reviews on IMDb.

The dialogues are stupid, annoying and full of expletives, for which there is absolutely no reason as it spoils the movie even more. The poor actors probably just followed the pointless and dumb script, which makes you wonder whether the writer has ever written anything that makes remotely sense. It's about drug users who are getting into a time travel dilemma (no spoiler here) which is neither believable nor conclusive.

Most time travel movies have some sort of plot holes or illogical twists, but 'Time Addicts' is just messy and annoyingly haphazard. The movie is set in a dark and dank house where all the time travel happens, which is attempting to set a somber tone, but it's not helping. Save your time and watch anything else, you'll thank me! I wish I had a time-travelling crystal in order to get 90 minutes of my life back.
