Sniper: Missione non autorizzata

This franchise took a wrong turn after Ghost Shooter! This is amateur filmmaking at every level and a complete lack of understanding and reverence for the franchise and the action fan base. Embarrassing and nonsensical. And the humor, I assume that was what they were going for, violated the one rule of humor - be funny! It wasn't funny or charming. This isn't Stranger Things. This isn't a franchise for 12 year olds. This was and should remain a hard actioner pitting bad against good in cat and mouse sniper battles. It's a movie meant for a mature audience. It's now coming off like a cartoon. The makers are missing the whole point. It's meant to be sneaky and stealthy, heavily relying on themes of isolation and the morality of killing from long range and what that does to the psyche. There is not one idea in this movie. It's not singular or strong. It's a weak movie, guided by no vision or perspective. The director/writer/editor/craft service had no idea how to mount or deliver and is tonally deaf to the source material and it's offensive to the fan base and action audience. I'm done with these movies for good. The studio brain trust is trying way too hard to reimagine this series. They've reimagined it to its grave.

I think the biggest issue behind the low ratings is the title. Expecting a sniper film, then This movie is a disappointment. It's not a sniper movie and the few sniper scenes aren't conventional at all, there's no spotter. No hours/days of waiting, idiotic off-the-cuff planning the snipe, etc. But it's a good movie for a small group of over-trained special forces types with a bass ass girl in the mix, led by a true blue, but jaded CIA/JSOC commander. The villains have similar backgrounds to the good guys but chose a faster but immoral path to riches. Can the reprehensible human/drug traffickers with protection from top-level Corrupt government officials be stopped by by this "rag tag" tight team of "good guys"? The hand to hand combat scenes get long, at least for me. But that's why Sony invented FF. I recommend it, unless you want top level choreographed combat skills and realistic LEO involvement, etc.

I was dissapointed with this movie. It lacked a descent plot line. Not a lot of action and mediocre fighting from Chad Collins, Ryan Robbins and Sayaka Akimoto. I'm a huge fam of the Sniper series and was hoping this new movie would continue in the format of the other movies but it was very dissapointing. The music just made it a lot worse. I did enjoy watching it but I would not watch it again where as I have watched the other movies in this series over and over again. To me it was a B movie. I guess people are going to have to watch it and make up their own minds. I hope if they continue with the new format they will make a better plot line and more action.

There are many negative reviews here, but these people have never made a movie in their lives and are so critical!

Watch the movie! Working with a low budget, the filmmakers created a dynamic plot full of "What's going to happen next" moments! The camera angles and zoom-ins made the movie stand out to me. Looking dead into the eyes of a character, it has you waiting to hear the pin drop.

There are some moments where the dialogue could've used some work. I could see that some actors were working outside their comfort zone (as in taking roles that are a bit of a challenge from what they've done before, but as artists, that's precisely what we are supposed to do!) but all in all, it is a great story! To find comedy in such a serious matter as busting sec trafficking pins is undoubtedly not easy. Still, they did it in a tasteful manner that allowed the viewer to understand the severity of the mission but also chuckle a little bit.

I have seen a lot of B-movies and some of them are really great, but this is definitely not one of them...

The bad: everything looks and feels cheap about this movie. Terribly mediocre actors, cheap photography, but most annoying of all, there is NO thrill or suspense whatsoever. Even the few action scenes look laughable. What a pain to watch!

Incredibly boring to watch as well. This shouldnt be called a movie, this should (at best) be shown on the television, when all the other tv channels are showing home shopping shows. And I would recommend watching a homeshopping advertisment above watching this sleeping pill...
