An Adoption Story

Having viewed this on Amazon, I was deeply moved by the array of beautiful stories. Alex exhibits remarkable skill in sitting down with individuals to listen to their narratives. He has undertaken an extraordinary endeavor in single-handedly orchestrating this series, and for the ongoing efforts he dedicates to adopted individuals and his "I'm Adopted" organization and community. Bravo, Alex Gilbert. I know your work with helping more adopted people connect with each other and their birth families is so important. You have done an incredible job. Thank you for presenting this series to the world. I derived immense pleasure from watching it.

I'm at a loss for where to begin. Having been adopted from a small orphanage in Ukraine, I've always felt a deep connection to stories like these. Recently, I had the privilege of watching this series on Amazon, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. Alex Gilbert's passion for adoptees and the adoption community is truly indescribable. He not only listens to adoptees but embarks on their journeys with them from the very outset.

What struck me even more was that Alex handled every aspect of this series - from filming to production, directing, and editing - entirely on his own. His talent is, in my opinion, vastly underrated. Digging deeper into Alex's work through his YouTube channel and online presence revealed even more about his admirable character. It's no surprise to me that he was nominated for New Zealander of the Year a few years back.

Following his journey on YouTube, it's evident that Alex made the courageous choice to leave his previous work in order to pursue this venture independently. Alex, you've truly accomplished something extraordinary. I'm now a devoted follower of your work, and I eagerly anticipate what you have in store for adoptees worldwide. Being an adoptee here in the USA myself, I recently stumbled upon this series on Amazon, and I'm sincerely grateful that I did. Alex demonstrated a commendable ability to engage with these crucial stories. He strikes me as someone genuinely committed to listening, and he narrates these tales with skill. Discovering that he also produced, wrote, and edited this series left me truly impressed. Among the episodes, one that particularly resonated with me was Nina's story. She had endured so much in her personal journey, yet she told it in her own unique way, and Alex allowed her the space to share every aspect, providing a profound reflection on her upbringing. This episode moved me to tears, but in a profoundly positive manner. Thank you, Alex, for presenting such a special series.
