A Visually and Musically Rich Film with a Flat Narrative
"They Call Him OG" (2025) is a film that, despite its promising hype, ultimately falls short of delivering a truly compelling narrative. While Pawan Kalyan's great performance and the movie's stunning cinematography and music are undeniable strengths, the flat story and narration prevent it from being a truly engaging cinematic experience.
Pawan Kalyan is a charismatic force on screen, delivering a great performance that is a definite highlight of the film. His presence and acting prowess are a key reason to watch the movie. The cinematography is equally impressive, with a visually stunning aesthetic that is a treat for the eyes. The music is also very good, with a score that enhances the film's atmosphere and emotional beats.
However, the film struggles significantly with its story and narration. The plot is flat and uninspired, failing to create a compelling or engaging narrative. The narration is not good and lacks the momentum needed to keep the viewer invested in the story. This leads to a sense that the film had more hype than actual substance, with the technical and performance aspects overshadowing a weak core.
Overall, "They Call Him OG" is a film with great visual and musical elements, and a strong performance from its lead. However, its flat story and poor narration prevent it from reaching its full potential, making it a watchable but ultimately unmemorable cinematic experience.

Honest Review
This movie is literally a Trauma. The only good & interesting part of the movie was Emraan Hashmi(Omi) Stylish & Super Sexy with his charm in Villain Look. Damm Hashmi🔥🔥 even with less screen time he steals the show. Rest there is no story,& as usual typical south Film none of the other characters build no twists plots nothing pure headache.

Just another mass film
It's just another mass film that tries hard to hype every scene, but ultimately falls flat due to a weak foundation. While the movie boasts plenty of style and visual appeal, the script lacks the necessary focus on the lead's aura. Most scenes fail to convey that presence or impact.
The only sequence where the lead's aura is truly felt is the post-interval police station scene. Apart from that, the only other high moment is the one that links to the Sujeeth Cinematic Universe - something already revealed by the production house. Unfortunately, the post-credit scene feels entirely wasted.
Overall, it's a routine and predictable film, elevated only slightly by its stylish presentation and some Japanese-style fan service.

Stylish but Overdone - A Missed Opportunity
Rating: (5/10)
They Call Him OG had the potential to be a gripping story - the core plot is actually quite good and could have delivered a solid, engaging experience. Unfortunately, the execution goes overboard. The movie relies too heavily on flashy VFX and exaggerated, unnecessary violence that adds little value to the story. Instead of enhancing the film, these elements made it exhausting to watch.
While the concept and idea behind the film deserve credit, the cheap action sequences and excessive visual effects overshadow the narrative. With a bit more restraint and focus on storytelling instead of style, this could've been a much better movie.
Verdict: A decent story buried under too much noise.

Routine story with some style
Movie starts with a backdrop of Japan with some interesting line. Then it shifts to India which brings us boring and routine story with in between build up scenes. Second half is completely elevation for Pawan Kalyan. Villian character is not impressive. Too many characters with no importance. This clearly shows the lack of experience of director. In climax he brings Japan story hinting part 2. I think if he would have stick with story of Japan gangster, movie would have been fresh and interesting.
Movie heavily depends on Pawan Kalyan, thaman. All other characters including heroine is forgettable.
Final verdict is watch only if you are Pawan Kalyan fan.
