I was actually surprised at myself for not liking this series. Because I thought I would love a Danish production, Scandinavian film atmosphere and a slow-moving series. But I didn't like it and I got bored. While I like slow-paced movies, this mini series was too slow. I think it could have shot better. Acting wasn't bad. Of course, I don't know how good the acting is, as I don't speak Danish, but it think it is okay. The series was so boring that I didn't care that it was adapted from real events, that these events actually happened. So, I haven't done any research on these events. It didn't interest me. But the truth is that this event will remain a black mark in Danish history.
A true story of a nurse that kills patients by giving them drugs. If it sounds familiar it's because you've seen It before on a different Netflix series. There's a few differences, but it's a familiar story.
The acting is mediocre, the dubbing is poor, and it's a little slow. It's predictable, and boring at times but it's worth a watch if you've exhausted all other options and have a few hours to kill. Some reviews gave it 10/10 and some didn't like it at all but I found it to be average or a bit below.
The fact that it's factual is what kept me going. It was hard to understand the fact that the nurses at the hospital had unlimited access to the medicine room and they didn't keep track of the drugs. They'd never do this in the US, not with all the pill poppers in the world.

As I don't like long series, I just only go for the 3 or 4 parts-series. In the beginning you don't know who is de bad nurse, it just unfolds.. and then.. how do you get to the arrest? It's a extreme difficult situation, as no colleague wants to listen to a bad story about a so-called well-skilled nurse. The difficulties the whistleblower had to go through, are unimaginable. The story line with some personal, family issues in between, is very entertaining, in a real life sense. The filming is still very easy to watch, still nerve wrecking. That the 'good nurse' pulled the thing through is a big miracle, and she is a hero.
In general I liked the series, although despite the strong and serious theme they could have chosen a little more color in the photography and the characters, everything is very grey, a very sad color! . It's personal I suppose, but I have seen hospitals that are happier and full of flowers and joy for example.
I have never understood gossip between co-workers either, especially in a hospital, frustrating. The end of the series seemed quite rushed, and at the same time very exciting, it is the best of the series, the last 2 chapters, a lot of tension, and for that reason they could have given it a little more time and also explain the motive and the past of this psychopathic nurse.
Pernille, the nurse who discovers that something strange is happening in the hospital is a hero in my opinion, and I don't understand why the co-workers don't talk to her anymore, incomprehensible, did this really happen? Because the series is very realistic except for this, ridiculous, or are the Danes so cold and stupid? I don't think so. And let's not forget the doctor who helps her!
As you can see, my review is a mixture of positives and negatives. I recommend it because it is a true story, well told, realistic, and has very exciting moments.

I don't watch series, only short ones. I watched the Danish medical thriller , the suspenseful The Nurse in one sitting, breathlessly. After the quarantines of the pandemic, this film is particularly shocking. Who do we trust with our lives in the emergency room? A thoughtful, expertly crafted, psychological thriller that tackles many contemporary social and moral dilemmas.
The Danish acting school is renowned for its talent. Fanny Louise and Josephine Park, a duo of two nurses nicknamed the "dream team" will not leave cinema lovers indifferent. It turns out that the battle between Good and Evil can take place in a tiny provincial ambulance service, at the bedside of a sick person. I was touched by the way the director showed the dramatic choice of Good in impossible circumstances.
The mini-series is based on a true story that took place in the Danish hospital Nykøbing Falster . It is incredible that for four whole years nobody noticed the crime there.
A perfect script and impressive direction. I'll have to watch it again when emotions have run over.
