Flykten till Östermalm

Very funny Swedish humor with reasonable characters. But it is original languages that apply if you are to understand the extremely funny. But also need to have some knowledge of the suburbs and the upper class, in Sweden.

I wanted to give a much higher rating but some pathetic genius has ruined by occasional episodes of senseless and vulgar language.

Get rid of this vulgar nonsense and the series is fantastically funny and relevant.

Everyone in the family is really good while the rest are of varying quality. Sometimes they seem to bring in friends instead of good actors.

Stop with the offensive language and use only good actors even for the supporting roles and this will be great again.

Terrible acting.

Stereotypical and corny storyline that isn't funny at all. The whole "Mursa" family kept forgetting that they have an accent. So they switched the way they spoke often. And whenever they remembered they exaggerated the accent in such an awful way. I hate to watch people who are non believable. Filip Dikmen and the "sister" played by Yussra, might be the worst actors I've ever seen in my life. Creating this was such a waste of time and money. And whoever thought this would be a good idea, should get fired asap. This really is one of the worst shows I have ever seen in my entire life. Don't waste your time trying to watch it.

I started watching this series although the critics absolutely hates the show and gave it terrible reviews. What? The critics must have Zero sense of humour and be blinded by political correctness.

This is a very refreshing, charming and fun series that more people should discover. I recommend it to anyone with an open mind.

The series makes fun of prejudice about immigrants and snobby people living in the most elegant part of Stockholm.

Having lived there myself I think the Östermalm characters are spot on. It's also refreshing to watch Kennedy, the main character and his wife. She's the brainy one, and he's so very proud of her, not threatened at all. A real role model for you men out there.

The series maintains the lowest quality in everything. It focuses on platitudes delivered by a often roaring Özz Nujden with awkward jokes on the theme "you may misunderstand me but I may misunderstand you so then we complete each other." Some of the other actors maintain a slightly higher quality, but it is not enough to elevate the series to something sought after. The scenery and filming is deplorable, it feels like everything is confined to one and the same house or studio, which in turn reinforces the feeling that you have seen all the episodes if you have seen one.

Season one wasn't worth any time and season two I personally won't give a chance.

This serie gives you a Kurd who inherit over 500 M SEK and the first thing he do is purchase a grand flat in the creme de la creme area in Stockholm. He leaves the poor suburban area in Malmoe with the entire family to emerge a classrace in minutes.

It starts off with a clash in a tragic suicide versus the burgeoise curious neighbours interest of who their new neighbour is.

The comedy is flat and predictable. This is here when you anticipated a "Melander" comic script, discover something is terrible wrong. Still, episode after episode never kicks off. At the most it gives you a couple of laughs sporadically. I'll bet you that your hard earned and well deserved free time are better used elsewhere.
