The Whisper Within the Woods

Went to see Whisper Within The Woods at the cinema. Honestly, I thought I was made of stronger stuff, but fifteen minutes in, the bloke next to me projectile-vomited into his popcorn and whispered his soul right out of his body. Absolutely couldn't hack it.

As for the film - imagine if a fever dream married a forest, and their child grew up possessed by every demon in folklore plus one invented on the spot. Creepy whispers? Check. Trees that definitely moved when you weren't looking? Double check. Plot? Unsure - I spent most of it trying to decide whether to flee or check on the bloke being sick.

By the end, I wasn't sure if I needed therapy, a hug, or a tetanus shot. 10/10, would traumatically recommend.

Watch at your own risk. Special mention for the witch' s boots.... They are the star of the movie. No matter the place and desertion, the witch didn't lose her sense of style and comfort. After all she has an image to adhere to. The black garb, perfunctory execution and legendary acting adds to the already torture of the movie. The special effects deserve a special mention for their shoddy work. Editing team didn't disappoint as well with their execrable job. On a brighter note, the witch and Darren provide some spells of comedy with their.appalling attempts at acting. Overall a -10 from my side for this Horror of a movie (not a horror movie).

What a cracking film! A properly nerve-jangling indie horror set in the picturesque town of Upminster. What it lacks in budget it more than makes up for with a punchy script and quality acting.

Superb performances and an intriguing storyline that keeps the viewer hooked throughout. Who would have thought something so wicked and wretched would come out of RM14!

The soundtrack is Carpenter-esque with its haunting, almost torturous soundscapes, cranking up the suspense to a satisfying and shuddering climax.

Big recommend for anyone looking for a scare, a fright or a lesson in unsettling local history and folklore.

I thought the film was absolutely brilliant.

The film had me hooked throughout, it's the perfect horror! Nothing too scary but did make me jump a few times which is what I think makes the perfect film!

The plot!!! What a plot I wasn't expecting it and I think that's what makes the film as you think it's going to end one way but it ends completely different!

Throughly enjoyed watching this film and I can't wait to watch again! If you haven't watched the trailer I would recommend it and then you'll want to watch the film as it's throughly brilliant with a brilliant story!

Whisper within the woods, I am a massive fan!!!!

When you see a low budget movie with no star, you often left disappointed by bad acting and story telling. However The Whisper Within The Woods, delivers on multiple accounts.

A strong story about broken relationships, protecting the ones you love and the supernatural left me wanting more.

For a very low budget feature, I was shocked by the amount of cast and locations, all bringing their own passion and realism to a haunting story.

The film was beautifully shot and there is a creepy, yet magical score to boot.

I walked out of the screening moved and wanting more. I hope they make a sequel as I am sure there is more to be told. I can't wait to see this again.
