This show is so annoying and most of the competitors are cringe. It's like Gordon Ramsay handpicked a bunch of loud, annoying and obnoxious individuals to be on this show, which is pretty much fixed on who goes home based on Gordon Ramsay's like or dislike of that person, with hardly any bearing of what that individual did or didn't do for each challenge. Yet another money grab attempt by Ramsay who could've just as easily partnered up with MasterChef winners that can cook, and clearly run a restaurant that has great food, because that chef won the season. The entire concept of this show is ridiculous and redundant. Can't see this nonsense being renewed for another season.
Ramsay needs to poor it up a bit. Nobody cares about wine boxes and 30 dollar beach food, man... it is so disappointingly out of touch with the regular human. All about the flashy, richy locales and already-done food challenges that cater to losers with money. He seems to be concerned more with production values and imagery than with the actual modern food scene. Make a show about street food, about farm to table. Encourage your contestants to make the best hole-in-the-wall restaurant with honestly delicious and affordable food rather than fine dining BS that nobody actually likes. The BEST food is made and enjoyed by down to earth, humble folks; if Ramsay were to even ATTEMPT making a show that included and respected this population, he wouldn't be struggling with viewership.
I wanted to like this more than I do. I wasn't sure how enthralled I'd be with business challenges, and I'm enjoying that aspect more than expected. The low point for me is that the contestants are already very successful. Even if eliminated, they all go back to an already thriving business. It's on par with how Hell's Kitchen already has seasoned chef - however professional chefs don't have excessive money and the prize would be life changing. I admit that I don't know the exact financials of the Food Stars contestants, but the way they've been presented is that they are all doing quite well. I would much prefer to see this type of show with business people who have a solid idea, but don't yet have their foot in the door.
Season 1 was the best of all these show, the first version was great I loved it. Ramsay needs no internal competition. This model doesn't work?
He offered great advice and direction and we could see who had real talent. Maybe Ramsay should slow down and stick with the models that work.
But adding this reality star women who walks around with a designer dog on the Housewives and thought she was better than all of them. I guess she has opened restaurants - but has she really or just paid people. .
But maybe other real restauranteurs can't work with Ramsay. Just air time for a woman who loves to show her behind. Please go back to original format!

Gordon is playing Sugar Daddy ... er, co-investor, to one (and only one) Instagram Influencer ... entrepreneur.
The problems: 1) None of the Contentants are capable of completing ANY of the challenges.
2) None of the challenges have anything to do with the ANY of the Contestants' businesses.
3) Gordon seems to be using these Instagram Influencers to flex on how great he is.
4) None of the Contestants can work together as a team.
5) After watching five episodes, I doubt that any of the Contestants have ever even SEEN a kitchen, let alone run their own business. Or have worked a day in their whole life. Or have ever heard the word no.
Food Stars? Hardly. More like Rich Showoff and Fifteen Spoiled Kids.
