Chin Up, Buttercup

It's not worth calibrating, but this pair of Anatomik Media-directed Pure Taboo vignettes seems somewhat timid compared to earlier content from the label in the past six years. They were made in 2022 and make for a quite minor DVD release via Adult Time.

Title scene is standard stepdad/daughter incest action, as plump starlet Eliza Eves has sex with daddy Ryan Driller on their couch after watching a romatnic movie together on tv on Valentine's Day. She's been ghosted by her boyfriend and feels down in the dumps, and Ryan takes this extreme step to cheer her up.

Unlike most Driller scenes in his well-established persona as a sexy stepfather, this one is dull and mechanical, with a lousy trick ending. Obviously fans of Eve will enjoy it on a purely physical, gonzo level -others need not apply.

Supporting scene is a real stinker, that in a better porn-obsessed world (not to imply that ours isn't porn-obsessed) would have been left on the cutting room floor. It's not even taboo, something of a cardinal sin for fans of the inverted values Pure Taboo label, which celebrates misogyny. Laney Grey visits Seth Gamble, her sister's employer, to plead with him to rehire sister Andrea (played dully by Nadia Noja in a NonSex role). The siblings face eviction if sis can't contribute rent money.

Seth is unyielding, pointing out how lousy a waitress Andrea was. Laney basically falls back on porn's favorite ploy of I'll do anything, and offers first to take her sister's place as a waitress, but Seth has already hired a new one, so she stoops (literally) to have sex with him. His mean-spirited reaction after his money shot is in keeping with Pure Taboo rotteness, and leaves the viewer hanging with an unsatisfying open ending = non-ending.
