Thiru Manicham is one of those rare films that manages to surprise you when you least expect it. Initially watched without any great expectations, the film proved to be a delightful family entertainer that holds a mirror to the challenges faced in today's world. It's a movie that strikes a fine balance between drama, emotion, and subtle humor, making it a worthy watch for family audiences.
The standout performances are delivered by Samuthirakani and Ananya, who shine in their roles as a married couple facing the pressures of life. Their portrayal of deep-rooted emotions feels natural and genuine. The way they navigate the financial struggles and ethical dilemmas in their lives resonates with a sense of honesty that is rare in today's often self-centered world. Samuthirakani, in particular, brings his characteristic depth to the character, while Ananya complements him perfectly with her nuanced portrayal.
The screenplay, though a bit predictable in places (the climax is fairly easy to guess), does a good job of keeping the audience engaged. The moments of tension and decision-making will keep you guessing what will happen next, which makes the film interesting. However, the comedy scenes could have been more refined, as some of them feel somewhat artificial, interrupting the otherwise serious tone of the film.
While the film focuses on the central characters' emotional journeys, it does leave certain elements unexplored. For instance, some of the supporting cast-like Nasser and Bharathiraja-are excellent in their roles, but their characters don't have as much scope to shine as one would have hoped. Still, they do their part with precision, contributing to the overall quality of the film.
The cinematography and music deserve special mention. Both complement the narrative beautifully, helping to create an atmosphere that is emotionally charged yet accessible. The visuals are well crafted, and the music strikes the right chords, enhancing the film's impact.
One aspect that left me wanting more was the aftermath of the events in the film. Post-climax, we don't get to see much of what happens to the respective families of the lead characters, which could have added more depth to the story.
Despite these minor drawbacks, Thiru Manicham is an impactful movie, especially in today's increasingly self-centered society. It's a story that emphasizes honesty, integrity, and the tough decisions we often face in life. If you're looking for a film that brings a sense of warmth and thoughtfulness to your screen, this is definitely worth watching with your family.

Must watch every human being in this world.
Sk act was fantastic. Very positive emotional movie. Well directed movie I'd say. 2025's best movie to watch.
Every screen suspense maintained well throughout the movie. If u do good that's human nature and it's not for credit. What a thinking from director. Salute to him. Over come devils mind is toughest thing in the world but capturing in the screen is very hard. It showcased throughout nicely. Yet another best movie in Tamil. I'd suggest director to think a like for next movie. Special thanks to producer who believes this story and produced. Amazing job by everyone! Thanks for inspiring movie.

Watched without expectations but turnedout to be very good family movie. All artists performed well. Especially Samuthirakani and his wife character. Ananya. Shown all their feelings naturally. We are currently in a world where seeing small honesty is very rare. And a man in his financial situation will really struggle to take right decision. Comedy scenes looked artificial but screenplay will keep you glued to screen guessing what will happen next(but yes kindly of we can guess the climax). Felt Some of the good artists did not get much scope to perform. Nasser and Bharathiraja did their role perfectly. Cinematography and music was nice. Post climax what happened to their respective family could've been shown which was missing. But definitely worth watching with family which currently need for this selfish society.
Very classical movie. Worth watching. I liked the concept, screenplay, and cinematography. All the actors did their work well. They lived in the characters. Congratulations to the crew for giving such a heart touching movie. Especially, Samudrakani sir and Bharathiraja sir did well. Background score was great. The film insisted on honesty and the equality in religion. We have to watch this movie with our children to make them to taste the fruit of honesty. Very few movies will touch our hearts. It is one of such movies. The climax part is too good and very satisfying. The director won our hearts.
Watched the beautifully crafted movie Thiru Manickam, and I must say, it left a deep impact. This film is a powerful exploration of values, human behavior, and moral dilemmas. It brilliantly portrays how individuals react when their values are tested, revealing the complexity of human emotions and decisions.
The movie delves into the nuanced reality that every human being, whether family, friend, or acquaintance, is ultimately an individual with unique perspectives and reasons for their actions. It thoughtfully depicts how need or greed can challenge one's values, though it doesn't always result in moral compromise.
Samuthirakani delivers a stellar performance, solidifying his reputation as a class actor. His portrayal is yet another gem in his illustrious career. Nazar also plays a powerful role, contributing to the emotional depth of the narrative. What's truly remarkable about Thiru Manickam is how it refrains from passing judgment. Every character's actions are justified by their circumstances, making it difficult to label anyone as purely right or wrong.
Great to see Bharathiraja! Man, he is 83 years old, and yet he brings incredible depth to his role. It was truly heartwarming to watch him on screen. He did a fabulous job-those eyes rolling, the voice breaking-it just breaks your heart. His performance added an emotional weight to the movie, making it even more impactful.
The director has done a great job in storytelling. I initially thought the flashback might slow down the pace, but it actually accentuated the narrative, adding layers to the storyline. The climax was truly amazing, leaving a lasting impression. This is not just another film but a movie with real substance.
Thiru Manickam is a class of cinema that makes you think and ponder long after the movie is over. It's a thought-provoking masterpiece that resonates on a personal level.
A must-watch for those who appreciate cinema that challenges the mind and stirs the soul.
