Capital Inicial: Olhos Vermelhos

A small hit by Capital Inicial that got a pretty decent airwave on MTV thanks to the inclusion of the song in the movie "Dom", starring Marcos Palmeira and Maria Fernanda Cândido. A highly memorable song of theirs mostly because of its use of strings on many parts and the rock part of it is quite reduced. Yet I don't remember in its inclusion in the movie itself - maybe it was used as a background sound, I watched it ages ago.

For a clip of its kind, it was quite good since soundtrack videos for Brazilian movies and working on such concepts are quite rare to find and this is the one that stood out to me in spite of its somewhat strange presentation where you don't feel exactly interested in seeing the movie - in case you haven't seen it, it's a free adaptation of Machado de Assis' novel "Dom Casmurro" presented on contemporary times. Lots of clips from the movie alternating between a loving couple that moments later keep fighting with each other. And as the sad ballad is played, lead singer Dinho Ouro Preto happily smiling at times makes it all look quite strange. Where's the sadness? And those shades he wears make it look as a beetle.

The praise conquered here is because I truly enjoy the song. 7/10.
