Oh My God... Yes! A Series of Extremely Relatable Circumstances

It's soo good ! The vivid animation pulls you in before you realize you hilariously relate to the intricate short sub plots they're throwing at you. From childhood trauma, ironic friendship bonding , to controversial societal issues they introduce several hidden messages whether it be cultural, generational, or just plain across the board we're all participating in this matrix of a place how could any of this not also be reality. Very fun & purposeful while also keeping it light with the comedy. This is perfect for adult swim. Cant't wait to see more episodes & love that it's its own thing, so needed. What a solid addition to the adult swim line up !

It tries too hard to be random and chaotic. I usually love absurdist humor but I don't like the way this show does absurdist humor. Typically shows with absurdist humor like Regular Show start out very normal, esclatae then get very crazy. This show tries to jump right into very wild plots and its not fun. The title of the show is also pretty bad. Why is it called Oh My God... Yes! A Series of Extremely Relatable Circumstances? It doesn't tell you much about the show, the world, or the characters. I brought up Regular Show earlier in this post. The name Regular Show is very ironic but every episode begins with something very simple like Mordocaei and Rigby set up the chairs, then the plot ends up being very wild contradicting its name. Jumping right into the craziness just doesn't work as well in my opinion.

Animation style is horrible, the comedy is lacking. Feels like it's trying too hard but not at all, especially with the "relatable-ness" that it tried so hard to capture. Plenty better shows to watch such as a black dynamite or the boondocks instead of this, which sucks because it's be amazing to have another show of that caliber included in the adult swim lineup, actively being produced. The voice acting isn't bad but isn't necessarily great, although one or two of the voice actors do stand out in the mess. But the main gripe with this show is just the god awful animation choice, it screams low budget, don't care.

This is not worth it...at all. It's not even in the "so bad it's good" tier, it's unfunny, cringe-inducing and the animation and art look like a low-budget Mr. Pickles. Let me repeat that. "Low budget Mr. Pickles". The characters are unlikeable and the dialogue was written in less than 10 minutes while drunk on a rollercoaster, the only star this has is because the voice actresses did an acceptable job withe the trainwreck they were fiven. If you like good shows, don't watch this, if you like watching bad shows to laugh at them, don't watch it.

This show should be watched as a challenge, not entertainment.

The art direction is neat and I found it funny. Xosha Roquemore's performance as Ladi in particular is really good imo. If you like the fast pace and snappy writing of Tuca and Bertie or Teenage Euthanasia you will probably also enjoy OMG Yes!

Watch the pilot first though, I watched episode 1 blind and felt a little lost because the characters and world are not re-introduced. But OMG Yes! Is not the first show to do that either, that seems more common now that animated pilots tend to be just uploaded to YouTube.

There have only been 3 episodes so far but I think it's a good fit for Adult Swim. I look forward to the rest.
