I found out about this game by accident and was surprised at how many people play it and how good the reviews are. When I looked at the screenshots, I wasn't expecting much - other than a nice looking casual game.

However, holy kitten, I was completely surprised. The game offers incredible depth, a pleasantly light story with innovative gameplay elements that are simply incredibly fun. Basically, the gameplay loop is divided into diving and fishing as well as managing the sushi restaurant. That sounds very simple at first, but there is a lot of content and you can tell that this game is a creation of passion. There are so many details and little things to discover.

Dave the Diver perfects the balancing between relaxed, motivating and challenging without getting too much or too little. The pacing is also great since every new game mechanic is introduced step by step in a natural and relaxed way. As others have said: The game is a vacation from many other games.

It's damn addictive because it's just really fun to play. The best game to chill without getting bored at all.

Clearly a creation of love. The time and effort put into this indie game is clear to see. Jam packet with unexpected content and hidden details and on topic messages. Ive played a lot but not to competition. The game is a lean RPG, no filler. Everything has a purpose and relevance. Happily paid for the DLC, the game is that good. Down side is that one of the dlc is no longer available hopefully this is rectified.

Other developers could learn a thing or two from taking care of their art and doing it the justice it deserves as opposed. Here is clear example of how good games can be when that's done. More games like this please. Id rather play indie games this good than triple A junk like a 19th instalment assassins creed.
