Vanished in Yosemite

When I sat down to watch the 2023 TV thriller "Vanished in Yosemite" here in 2024, I must admit that I wasn't really harboring much of any grand expectations to the movie. I had never actually heard about it, so I didn't know what I was in for here.

And now that the movie has ended, I will say that writers Doug Campbell and Andrea Shawcross actually put together an enjoyable script and narrative for the movie. Sure, it was a TV thriller in every sense of that meaning, but I will admit that I was genuinely entertained.

There was something rather entertaining about the narrative. Perhaps it was the way that the narrative was constructed and presented, but it definitely worked for me. So thumbs up to the writers for that accomplishment. Sure, it could be said that it was a generic script not unlike many other movies similar to it. But it was entertaining nonetheless, and that is what mattered.

I wasn't familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list. But they had a good ensemble of talents to portray the various characters and roles.

If you enjoy kidnapping thrillers, then "Vanished In Yosemite" is actually worth taking 85 minutes to sit down and watch.

Great comedy and ridiculous storyline, supposed to be a thriller I guess. To me and my friends it was far from that, the premise is laughable and the bad guys are just so lame and dumb. Switch off your brain to watch this crap, and get ready to laugh at how bad it is. Only good thing was, we did have a laugh at this film. Don't think that's what the film makers were arming for with this lame as movie. Don't understand the ok reviews from other people, but if you have time to kill and waste, this movie is for you. Myself I need it to be at least plausible and enjoyable to watch.id give this movie a miss and look for something good !

I've read a few of the reviews already posted about this Lifetime movie, but I only have positive things to say about "Vanished in Yosemite". Skye Coyne is a brilliant actor who was very believable as Jennifer, plus other cast members played their parts exceptionally well. It was thrilling and suspenseful, but also showed how far one will go to save a member of their family - regardless of any risks involved. Plus the beautiful scenery was another bonus, so breathtaking!

This film was inspired by true events, so it reminds us all never to be too trusting of complete strangers and be prepared for anything.

This film is amazing. Off the charts in all facets, directing, acting, cinematography, it's all there. Buckle up as this movie wastes no time delivering the goods! I could not believe this was a Lifetime movie this should have been released in theatres!!!! This could have swept the Oscar's but I'm guessing politics got involved, don't let that bother you, make the time to watch this powerhouse of a film. You will forget you are watching a movie with the incredible realism on display here. The sister and her estranged boyfriend's chemistry is palpable and feels ultra real. I won't spoil anything but this movie grabs you and doesnt let go until the credits roll!!!

I should have heeded the advise and not watched this abomination, and it gets stupid really quick. The male photographer and his cliche cringy pick up ;lines and the blonde haired sister is a garden tool used for weeding the garden goes hiking and face locking with a dude she didn't know from a bucket of paint. Yep too stupid and weak for words, but I must type int he 600 minimum characters in order to warn other viewers to take a pass on this BS. I turned this nonsense off in less than 10 minutes of viewing what is sure to become a major headache from having to dumb yourself down to the level of ignorance required to enjoy this farce.
