Meteor: Day One

No meteor colliding with the earth here, maybe a little stock footage of one floating in space towards the end. Instead this is a movie about two explorer guys looking for an artifact that CAN bring meteors down. The small principal cast leaves little excitement to happen over the barely hour long duration of the film. Flashbacks and stock footage a-plenty as we get exciting scenes of characters talking around a fire. I feel like a meteor disaster movie set in the 1600s could have been very entertaining pulpy sci fi fare. Instead it's a drab 65 minutes where no action happens until the last 20, and even then the action isn't exciting.
