The story line of the movie was engaging and that is what kept me watching until the end. The acting was not that great, with a few exceptions. I did like the store manager and the store clerk.
There were some plot holes and I would like to have seen more character development. The store clerk infused some light humor, which was needed. It would have been nice to see the store manager used for some light humor also.
I thought the movie was going to end one way. But it went another direction. I was satisfied with the ending.
Overall, it was okay. And it is refreshing to watch a movie without swearing in every other sentence.

Two young ladies discover they're pregnant, one from a broken dysfunctional relationship, the other a happy newlywed. Fate brings them together for a heartwarming tale of unconditional love, faith, and family healing. The Ribbon is a gripping drama and an inspiring story. While faith is involved, it isn't thrown in our faces or bashed over our heads, it's very subtle but lovingly present. The entire cast is a mix of seasoned actors and talented newcomers, and each one delivers a powerful performance under the expert direction of Carrie Simon. The Ribbon is a bold and beautiful film with an inspiring message.
Faith films can easily be a hit or miss experience for most people. Eddie McClintock is not an unknown actor. He's an experienced veteran and his presence in the film, even if it was small, assured me that this movie was not some local amateur church project. I understand this was a first feature for the production team that made this film, but you could see the level of experience in every aspect of the process. The actors performance ranged from adequate to outstanding. The photography was beautiful and the story was engaging and realistic, without all the religious fluff that many faith films attempt to shove down your throat.
It's obvious that the film was working with a limited budget, but it's not the quality of the film, but the impact they were able to make with what they were given to work with, that comes across as highly impressive. I applaud this company for an outstanding job and look forward to what comes next from them. This would be a step in the right direction for faith films to follow.

This movie and characters were phenomenal! They all played their rolls well. Real life situations, and I enjoyed watching how they handled their struggles and turning to their faith to carry them through each and every day. So sad when she felt she had no alternative but to give up her child for adoption. So much emotion that I had to shed some tears. I truly enjoyed this movie. Standing strong in your faith will allow all things to fall into place. Make it a series. I would highly recommend this movie to my friends and family. Would love to see the actress Sherri Lattanzi appear more often in the movie. She is a great actress. Overall, a great move in faith and spirituality.
This movie had me on the edge of my seat. The storyline was unique and I was not expecting it to end the way it did. The actors did a great job and kept me engaged the entire movie. I especially liked the store clerk who kept spraying the perfumes. She was fun and added a nice flair. The movie was so unexpected, we could not stop talking about it when it was over. I would love to see more films like this. The out take at the end was my favorite part. Kate Casetta had me laughing at the end. She had great timing and a fresh look. I hope she is in the sequel! I would watch more movies with her !

- QuizKate Casetta, the teenage customer in the mid-credit scene won a promotional contest offered by JC Films and was flown to Louisiana with her mother to visit the set, meet the cast & crew, and film a walk-on scene with Eddie McClintock. She and her mother were a joy to have on set.
