My family and I loved this heartfelt Christmas movie. It focuses on our military/veterans and also family and love. Jill Wagner and Paul Greene star in this film and really do have great chemistry and on screen magic. An antique store owner enlists the help of a retired military professor to help reunite a lost artifact from the war to its owner. It's a beautiful story as they work together to solve the mystery in time for Christmas. There's of course a love story or two! Great acting from Paul Greene and Jill Wagner. Highly recommend and cannot wait to rewatch with my family again this holiday season. Also beautiful music and song at the end.
Loved Bringing Christmas Home with Paul Greene and Jill Wagner! The chemistry was phenomenal between Paul and Jill, The storyline (military) was so, so good! It had all the feels from the beginning to the very end. It literally draws you into the movie and gives you all the emotional feels of wonderful storytelling and beautifully acted from the entire cast. I am a huge fan of Paul Greene and he seems to elevate his acting with every new project he is in! There really is something very special about Paul Greene! The actor, the musician and the human being. This movie is a great addition to the Holiday season.
This movie was absolutely beautiful and so endearing, I loved it!! There was such a rich story and mystery that honors and celebrates our veterans and military. Paul Greene is my favorite actor and he absolutely shined with the beautiful Jill Wagner. Their chemistry was electric and also sweet. I was teary eyed in multiple parts, in the best way. I haven't felt this connected to a Christmas movie in a while, I'm so glad I watched this premiere. Paul has an original song featured in the movie that really brought a whole new level of emotion and heart to the story. Would love a sequel of this or series based off of this story 10/10!!! Beautiful veteran Christmas tale.
Wonderful story that captures the heart and has a sweet adventure while love develops. The beauty of of this movie is that all cast are incredibly talented (main, supporting, extras) that bring to life this beautiful story. I have a great respect for military personnel who sacrifice their lives. This movie honors that perspective. The sets, the costumes, the music, the make-up are perfect in my opinion. This movie also addresses the stress military personnel experience in the line of duty without getting too graphic and the challenges returning to civiian life --- all written in good taste. LOVE IT!!
7.8 stars.
This is a tale of Russell and Caroline searching for a man who was missing in action in WWII. Russell owns a second hand (antique) shop and was given some random belongings by a friend to sell. One such keepsake is a WWII veteran's uniform, and he is curious to discover the identity of the owner. His search leads him to a retired major named Caroline who has a vast array of resources at her disposal to aid with the search. They share an instant attraction (Hallmark style).
'Bringing Home Christmas' is warm and endearing, and Wagner and Greene have good chemistry. There is much more to this story than what I've described above, so I highly recommend you give it a view, you won't be disappointed. It's an intriguing mystery search for a veteran whose duties and position in the military were beyond what we are led to believe. The conclusion is satisfying, and lends itself to a sequel.
It's obvious Jill Wagner had some cosmetic work to her face, but I can't pinpoint it, which is a good thing. Anyways, the primary theme of this movie goes beyond the search for a mystery soldier. I believe it is to clarify for civilians some of the pains that military veterans endure. Particularly, we witness Caroline has a reaction to certain sounds which induce a startle response, likely related to PTSD. Along those lines, she has difficult memories that affect her moods. This is why my first impression of the title 'Bringing Christmas Home', is a play on words. Maybe it implies that she brought the war home, the trauma of it. We later discover that during Christmas while deployed, she experienced a significant trauma. The theme could be about "bringing" the happiness of Christmas back to her, rescuing her from the horrific images that haunt her in relation to the holidays.
This would be a 8.1 rating but for my feeling that the chemistry between them is good but not great, and I attribute this to Greene's somewhat nonplus acting style (on occasion).
