I'm only halfway through this series so far and am really enjoying this. I cannot understand the bad reviews at all! I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before starting it as it may have put me off watching.
It has a great cast, it's easy to watch, and quite funny! Those reviews that are saying Danny Dyer is playing Danny Dyer clearly haven't got past the first episode. He may have used his own accent, but his character is entirely different!
Can't wait to finish this and I hope it gets renewed for a second season.
Seems to me that this show is like marmite, you're either going to love it or hate it. But give it a try and don't quit on the first episode!!!

I've just binged season one of this comedy and I did have high hopes of really loving this show, because I'm a big fan of Danny Dyer and Ryan Sampson's Tommo in Brassic, is different class, he's my favourite character in that show by a country mile. But sadly it failed to be as funny as I hoped. Yes in parts this comedy did have me chuckling to myself. But for a large percentage of it, I just felt annoyance and frustration. For me, my biggest gripe is that all the cast are just too shouty, too over the top, too hyper. Calm down everyone! You've all got far too much 'cocaine energy' and its tiring just watching you at times.

I genuinely enjoyed this series, a bit slow to start with then it's just gets better. It's has some great comedy moments and some really good feel factor moments as well. It was nice that I could finally watch something that my teenagers boys enjoyed too and we could watch as a family. Genius hiring Adrian Scarborough. There is really good chemistry between the cast I didn't want it to end. Love Ryan Sampson it was nice to see him play something a bit normal. It would be nice if the episodes where a bit longer. Looking forward to the next series which has been set up really well. Hope we don't have to wait too long for it!!
I put the first episode of this on to try it out and ended up binging the entire show in one night. There are some genius moments throughout, some that had me belly laughing, others that had me crying. The writing is brilliant.
The characters become more well rounded as the show goes on. I'm genuinely going to miss seeing them on my screen. The actors all did a brilliant job, and the comedic timing is second to none.
The last episode is incredibly heartwarming, whilst still keeping up the humour. Ryan Sampson and Danny Dyer's acting throughout the series is great, but in this episode especially.
If you watch the first episode and aren't sure you're going to like the rest, I'd recommend sticking with it, it's worth it.

'Mr Bigstuff follows two estranged brothers; Glen (Sampson), a nervy perfectionist and carpet salesman striving to live a suburban ideal and Lee (Dyer), an alpha male with a prescription drug addiction and a tin full of their dad's ashes.'
I really didn't know what to expect when I first put on Mr Big stuff but I was genuinely happily surprised. It's a show that doesn't take itself too seriously, well doesn't take itself seriously at all - but it works. There are numerous moments with perfect comedic timing and the casting is great too. Danny Dyer is fantastic alongside Ryan Sampson whilst Adrian Scarborough and Faitha El-Ghorri were also standout in there roles. It also felt like they were having genuine fun with it also.
Mr Bigstuff is not trying to be groundbreaking, but is a feel-good series that is genuinely worth a watch, has the sort of easy to watch / easy going vibe to watch after a long day and unwind.
I'd give it a 7/10.
