Within the first few minutes you start to realise the movie was put together very poorly. Every extra minute you continue to watch becomes even more excruciating! And by the time you get to 5 minutes (if you held it together) you will wish you stopped at the first minute.
It may have had potential but the directing was horrible and ruined this movie.

I went into Stand Your Ground expecting a by-the-numbers revenge flick. What I got?? Home Alone meets John Wick, directed by Sergio Leone if he'd swapped cigars for protein powder. The pacing starts slow, dripping with tension and then all hell breaks loose. Traps, gunfights, chaos. But the real MVP? Peter Stormare as the villain. You want menace? You want charisma? You want the guy from Fargo who fed someone into a woodchipper? He's here, and he's loving every second of it. Pure evil, pure class. This is an independent movie that is stylish, and savage fun with a smirk. 8 stars!!! Outstanding Experience.
The movie is low than average, scenes were exaggerated and explosions didnt look real like it was made by AI. The action and fighting was okay. Also stories were not connected to each other.
Some characters in the movie were not important or does not take a part of the story.
Some of them has their own story mentioned in the movie but we didn't how their stories were connected to the main story.
The main character was good on this role and he nailed it. The stand on your ground law was not very respected on the movie in the end of the movie, honestly I wasn't really happy with the end It could be better than that.

Raw, intense, and unexpectedly heartfelt, this film pulls you in with its unflinching portrayal of revenge and the heavy moral weight that comes with it. The action is gritty and brutal-bone-crunching fight scenes and visceral violence that refuse to glorify bloodshed. Yet, it's in the stillness between the chaos where the movie truly shines. The quieter, suspenseful moments allow the characters to breathe, reflect, and reveal emotional layers you don't usually expect in a revenge-driven narrative.
It's not a perfect film-some pacing issues and a few underdeveloped subplots might hold it back from greatness-but it remains a highly engaging experience throughout. The tension simmers constantly, and there's a surprising amount of soul beneath the rage. It's the kind of story that makes you question who the real villain is and whether vengeance ever really satisfies. Gritty and gripping, it lingers long after the credits roll.

Daniel Stison unbelievably isn't the weather vane for quality in this film, he's terrible as always, its Eric Roberts. When you see his name in the cast list...run. I can't remember anything he's been in that's been decent.
Back to the film, you could spend all day bemoaning some of the ridiculous decision making when it comes to the action scenes but, compared to Last Man Down, they're more polished.
Stison has to get his top off at the end, i'm surprised it took so long, Peter Stormare is at that stage of his career where he's happy to wade in feces, ham it up and pocket the money.
All in this is Stison's best effort, which doesn't say a lot if you consider his previous output, but i do detect a very slight increase in quality from the diminutive beefcake.
