Century of Love

I have watched this series four times... I still can't get enough of the characters... First the visuals are amazing.

Second the characters chemistry is out of this world.

Third even though I know the story lines I still get upset at the villains in the series.

Four I was very impressed with the action scenes in the series.

Five I giggle at the brief nude shot of SAN's ?????

Six I have no idea what the lyrics are to the main song but I love it and hooked on it. My brain wants to sing along with it. Love it.

Seven I love love... and this series gives me lots of it.

Eight the comedy keeps me from going to far in the longing... Nine I will watch again because I love the characters........ Ten is my rating for this series because I would put it in my digital library for future binge watching.

Century of Love is a captivating series that hooked me from start to finish. As a fan of reincarnation stories, I was eager to dive in, and it exceeded my expectations. The plot twist where San discovers his soulmate is a man after expecting a woman is a game-changer. And San certainly not into it because he is very loyal to his past love and besides he is a straight 120 year old man.

This series balances humor and romance beautifully, with the family teasing San being a highlight. The leads' chemistry is undeniable, with Vee's charm and playful side and San's grumpy demeanor making their romance all the more sweet. San's journey from resistance to acceptance as Vee's lover is romantic and satisfying. In addition, I like the fact that his family is so supportive of their relationship.

The villain, Wat, is convincingly portrayed, and her unexpected role in helping San in the end is a nice touch. This series introduced me to Daou and Offroad's work, leading me to watch their other series, Love of Translation and I am looking forward for their upcoming series, The Wicked Game.

Just saw this on Netflix. It's quite comical, lol. The premise is unique, offering an interesting twist on the "love lasts through time" trope by exploring a somewhat comical yet intriguing concept: what if the reincarnated version has a different gender altogether? This twist brings a fresh and humorous angle to the story, making it stand out in the crowded field of romantic comedies drama genre.

Now, it has some flaws, some cringe dialogues, some overused romance cliches such as character touching mouth alone after the kiss, characters tripping and dropping to the ground, then, wow, they almost kissed. Groundbreaking. Still, overall, it's a fun and entertaining series. It's definitely worth a watch for its creative approach to lgbtq story.

Decided to give this a go when browsing netflix. The beginning of the storyline was meh but it gets better and better. I kept pausing when i started watching as i rolled my eyes too much. It took my two weeks to actually get to the good part of this drama. The acting of the leads are really helping too. But the storytelling was a bit lacking. Some crucial questions were not sufficiently answered and left a gaping logical hole.

The storyline and some of the details are kinda off. A bit wasted.

However, if you can withstand the absurdity of the plots at the beginning, it is actually very sweet at towards the end. After finished watching, i think i am glad that i came across this.

Well, maybe not exactly. But I think you can call the main lead an Asian Deadpool. He's proficient in martial arts, he regenerates whenever he got hurt, and he turns into his pediatric self in order to heal. LOL. Maybe the writer got inspired by Deadpool and wanted to make the Asian BL version of it. Anyway, in this series I can see some improvements in Daou's acting skill since "Love In Translation". At that previous BL series, his acting was way more rigid and disappointing. His chemistry with Offroad is still as good as it was in the previous series. I also like the supernatural angle in this series. But the big question remains, who's the real reincarnation of San's mate?
