Noble intentions, mediocre result.

The premise of a Nazi story in skin of film noir sounds more than reasonable. But in this case the final remains so confuse and the pieces so bad used than difficult to appreciate it more than a noble intentioned project of a group of high school students passionated by III Reich stories and by old fashion films.

A Jewish professor in one of occupied teritories by Nazi Germany, a venerable manuscript, the blackmail to translate it in German for save his family. A stranger in protection costume and his demand to professor.

And a lot of holes, from the accident with student and the generous promisse, to the identity of stranger and the option for Jewish version . But the heavy sin remains the aspect of manuscript .

So, nice try, wasted potential.
