I am already absolutely in love with this show, I had seen the posters and the trailer and honestly didn't know what to expect with this but I had seen Dana's work before and expected something absolutely amazing and this definitely was amazing. Things I loved in the pilot episode was one the colour scheme, I don't know but I just loved the whole colour scheme and how it matched the moods of the scenes it was amazing. Secondly I loved the characters especially Guinevere herself! I love her character design and I love the concept of that there is multiple versions of her but this version of her is totally unique and different than the others like she doesn't fit within the usual standard which I absolutely love (she's my favourite now). I also genuinely love the storyline already! Cannot wait to see more of this beautifully animated show.

Art wise, what this pilot demonstates is superb. I just cant get over how GOOD the backgrounds, designs and characterizations are. The world looks so lived in, something even big studios miss sometimes. Honestly I dont have mich else to comment on, the animation is pure eye candy. If you like quality animation, its reason enough to sit down and watch it.
As far as writing goes, I love it, its great. Out of all of Glitch's shows so far, this is by far the best written pilot. The pace in the beginning is a little fast, but completely understandable as it is a pilot trying to establish itself and its characters. I've seen people say that theyve had a hard time following, but I think part of that is simply the fact that we dont get enough shows like this that make us question and think. Its supposed to confusing!! Its the first episode!! We are meant to be left with questions that make us want more. As far as the profanity, I can see why it may turn some people off, but to me its not at all ecsessive. I know a lot of people who speak like that, it sounds natural, especially for overworked, exaughsted people.
Really, I cannot wait fo see more of this, Ive already bought some merch to support the show!!

The first impressions for me are very, VERY pleasant. The way the story was building up is absolutely magnificent, every minute gets more and more interesting to watch. And animation - considered that it's the first ever GLITCH's 2D series, it's made spectaculary! Even for big, non-indie amination companies it would be considered a very well made animation. Hats off to GLITCH for making something as magical as this. But there's a 'but'. Of course, for those who don't like gory and violent media with a bunch of profanity, honestly I wouldn't recommend watching this show. Not going to spoil anything, but there was a lot of both of these things. But if you don't mind... Then go watch it! Knights of Guinevere is 100% worth your time!
It's no secret that this show is Dana Terrace's satire of Disney, and indeed the world shown is dystopian. However, it's surprisingly sympathetic to people who idolise Disney and see hope and beauty in it in the form of Frankie, who really reveres Guinevere who in turn remembers her and her friend Andi when they were kids.
The animation is suberb, like an episode of The Owl House, and it's Glitch's triumpant entering into the 2D medium.
A strong recommendation.

The eerie whimsy of whatever this is has me hooked, i need more! Dont really comment, but leaving a review because i want to see this made!
The world building has me englufed, and i feel for the characters as they go about navigating themselves in that central plot. What is this universe, and why this fantasy makes me feel like nothing that ive ever seen before, and in 2025 that's saying something, especially for someone who has consumed as mch media as i have.

The best way to describe this show/pilot is the owl house not being restricted by Disney
I really love the characters and world
It has a so far pretty interesting story.
I would probably consider this glitch's best show yet.
The animation is also pretty good.
In conclusion this is probably glitches best show.

Such a promising pilot. The animation is AMAZING (Which, is granted since this is glitch productions) its hard to believe that this was made for a YOUTUBE channel and not a streaming service. It's insane how much Glitch is stepping up their work with every single show they release. I thought they couldn't get much better after the gaslight district, but I was wrong. It even has great pacing, which is an issue that I've had with every other glitch show so far. I truly believe that this deserves a full series, and I highly recommend it.

I have never seen a 2D animated show like this one, its voice acting is impeccable! The animation is wonderful. Especially the backgrounds, the backgrounds are beautiful. You really gotta appreciate the work everyone at GLITCH did, it's amazing. I noticed lots of references during the pilot watch! (claw machine scene, ifykyk) I also noticed the art style for the animation. It looks just like The Owl House's! Obsessed with that. Overall, everything was perfect. If you like dark, eerie princesses, this indie show is for you!!!💝

Judging by the pilot episode, it's something like Alita: Battle Angel with characters from Dustborn. The show can draw you in and hold your attention thanks to its colorful, cute aesthetic, and the setting is interesting in its own right, but the pilot didn't present any original ideas or characters, so I'll probably won't continue watching.
Went in not really knowing what to expect but the main plot and characters are interesting and at the end of the pilot it left us wanting to see more.
It has this playfulness to it which I like but then it can also take a serious tone so it balances out. I enjoy the art style as well. I would definitely like to see more !

I want all of you to like my review instead of disliking it and support me. Sometimes I wonder: am I the only one seeing this? Why is everyone pretending this show is good, or even remotely "smart" or "deep"? I'm not writing this out of hate, I'm writing it out of disappointment. I love animation. I support creators. But I also value honesty, emotional storytelling, and thematic consistency. When studios make promises and break them, or when shows fake depth with cheap shock value, someone has to speak up. If you're someone who feels the same, know that you're not alone. I'm looking for people like me: those who can think critically and see past the surface.
Expectations were high, reality hit hard Glitch Productions had been promising for years that they would deliver smart, meaningful animation for teens/young adults (13+), something to fill the gap between childish cartoons and overly mature content. That promise created hope.
Add to that the involvement of Dana Terrace, the brilliant mind behind The Owl House, a show full of heart, creativity, and emotional depth and the expectations only grew. But Knights of Guinevere is none of that. Instead, it's a dark, mean-spirited, try-hard psychological thriller, overloaded with extreme gory violence, strong profanity (yes, even in the teaser, trailer and pilot himself), and an edgy tone that doesn't match its supposed target audience. In the trailer and pilot alone, we see; excessive violence and blood, a clearly audible "s**t" and "f**k" line, a shot of a character flipping the middle finger (yes, even if it's distant). This isn't bold, it's performative. It's not mature, it's shallow.
This isn't an isolated case, it's a pattern. To be fair, Knights of Guinevere isn't the only offender. We're seeing a rise in shows that pretend to be "deep" and "mature", but are really just stylized violence, edge, and shock. In two major examples. Liam Vickers' Murder Drones started with promise, but devolved into a violent, inconsistent mess. The recent episodes are more focused on gore than growth and Nick Zsopko's The Gaslight District takes vulgarity and violence even further. It parades around as satire or social commentary, but offers nothing of substance. Both shows pretend to be mature while actually hiding behind style and gore.
And yet, Knights of Guinevere somehow manages to be worse. Because it pretends harder. It borrows the visual and narrative language of emotional storytelling, but never earns it. It's trying to wear the skin of something meaningful, while offering nothing but darkness, aggression, and noise.
Dana Terrace what happened with you? I had faith in Dana Terrace. After The Owl House, I believed she could elevate any story she touched. But here, either she's lost her voice, or her ideas were buried under someone else's direction. The emotional clarity and character-driven depth she's known for? Nowhere to be found.
Glitch Productions where did the integrity go? Glitch started out small and sincere. But somewhere along the way, they shifted toward chasing trends instead of crafting identity. Instead of delivering the unique teen/young adult-oriented content they promised, they jumped on the same bandwagon as Invincible, Hazbin Hotel, and Helluva Boss, piling on violence, grit, and profanity to mask a lack of real vision.
Say it straight, don't mislead your audience. If Glitch Productions truly intends to produce animated web shows filled with ultra bloody violence, sexual content, strong profanity, alcohol, drug use, and smoking, then they should at least have the honesty to say so up front. Don't promote it as "teen/young adult content" when it's clearly meant for mature audiences. That's misleading, irresponsible, and disrespectful to both fans and parents trying to find appropriate content.
To fans, think before you support. If you're a fan of the style, the animation, or the creators, that's okay. But I ask you to think carefully: what are you really supporting? Do these shows respect your time, your intelligence, your emotional investment? Or are they just chasing views with fake depth and overused tropes? Stop giving your money and attention to empty shows. Don't buy merch. Don't hype up content that doesn't deserve continuation.
If you feel the same, you're not alone. You're not crazy. If you watch this and feel emptiness where meaning should be you're not the problem. You're just paying attention. We need a new path forward in animation. One that values story, character, honesty, not just blood, swearing, and fake "maturity".
In final thought, Knights of Guinevere is not "The Owl House for teens". It's not an animation revolution. It's a shallow imitation of better things and worse, it's hiding behind big names and beautiful visuals to sell a lie. Posted because silence only helps the hype. I believe in better animation, and I know I'm not the only one. Dana Terrace is traitor.

Keeping it simple, I'm already hooked! I'm a huge fan of Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel, and KOG is a fabulous new entry in the modern made-for-adult animated series surge.
Right off the bat, I got a great sense of every character's personality and drives, and want to see where their choices take them.
The animation is STUNNING!!!!
It has just enough of that "dream logic" / "fairy tale" way of story telling, without becoming incomprehensible.
So hyped to see more!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the pilot. I don't usually have high expectations for adult animation, but I enjoyed it very much. The show combines humor, compelling storytelling, and gorgeous animation. It also touched on themes I didn't expect. The art style impressed me as well. I'm excited to see what comes next.
Btw. I really liked the story, this futuristic style mixed with pollution attracts me a lot and creates a very cool atmosphere of tension. The art of the lines and the environment managed to transcribe this very well, the characters are really cool, I'm really curious to know the future of the story and what will happen to everyone.

Cant wait for more eps and see how it develops definitely go watch the pilot.
I like the characters especially how there is quite a bit hidden in the show and I heared it will be kind of like a thiller which is really cool
This review is more of me just really enjoying nothing very insightful just go watch it.
It's worth it if you like the other works of Glitch or the works of the person who made owl house.

This is by far one of the most interesting plots I've ever come across in animated media. Not to mention it's very clearly a play on Disney. This series definitely has potential.
However, I was struggling to understand the plot. The episode tends to explain the backstory in "parts" rather than upfront. Ultimately, it expects the audience to piece together the story.
Another problem I'm having is the "adult" content of the show. Similar to Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel, there is constant swearing. The excessive cursing in a story like this is honestly displeasing. A show doesn't need constant swearing to come across as serious.
Lastly, (and this is more of a personal opinion), I really dislike Frankie's design. She comes across as tough and tomboyish, yet her color palette is more feminine leaning. Not at all saying buff female characters can't dress feminine, but I personally feel it doesn't work with Frankie.
Overall, incredible story, but a rather weak pilot. Nonetheless, I can't wait to see what comes next with the show!

I used to be a major Glitch fan before it was cool. I honastly think Meta Runner still holds up really well if you ignore all the controversy around it. I even watched Sunset Paradise (it was pretty decent) and Murder Drones (it was really good). I only watched the Pilot for the Amazing Digital Circus, but at that point I felt like I was getting too old for this and I havn't seen any of The Gaslight District, maybe I'll watch it some day.
This show though so far might be they're best work. I heard a Disney animator worked on this and it's a huge controversy for some reason. (notice when I'm talking about a web series I say the word 'controversy' a whole lot lol).
If you told me this was an actual show on Disney I'd 100% beleive you, the backgrounds detailed and the world feels really fleshed out in terms of how it works and how the people live in it. Speaking of people I actually really like the characters. I especially liked the main character who is a T H I C C muscle lady who kind of looks like Greg Universe. I do feel like this series going foward can be really good or bad depending on how they're going to handle all of this lore and story going on.

Messy plot to the point of aneurysm, along with animation that at it's best has a frame every 2 seconds, and voice acting that's straight out of a low budget anime dub, and worst of all, the confusing disaster of any semblance of story is uniteresting.
Glitch has made some alright shows in the past, and even their bad shows are entertaing at the very least. THIS. IS. UNWATCHABLY MEDIOCRE. The writing felt more juvenile for an "adult" animated show than Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss.
Don't support garbage because it's "indie".
Go watch Gaslight District, Lackadaisy, or literally any other indie pilot.

I dunno felt like it was just trying to throw everything at the table with the world building since it doesn't know if it will be picked up or not. Rather messy. This ""Tumblr"" style wasn't really appealing to me either. The Disney jab is very unsubtle but it being a criticism of Disney is good enough for people on its own. Not wrong with it being obvious but it wasn't really engaging to me. Has the same issue as serval other indie shows where it's super artist focused but barely writing focused.

Intensely derivative and cynical. The points which don't feel like direct jabs at Disney, still coast on 'quirkiness' instead of genuine intrigue.
The conflict is shrouded in mystery, grimdark elements, and convenience. Which while lending well to the superb animation, voice acting, and sound design; Really fails to actually keep me gripped enough to keep watching.
Glitch has a history of VERY strong pilots, so i'm a big surprised by this one. Perhaps it's just a case of a bad pilot, but i'm not particularly intrigued enough to wait and see beyond said pilot.

I don't mind the visual or vocal side of the show, given the budget and all that. What really matters to me is the story and how it comes through in the characters and dialogue. But honestly, the pilot felt weak and seemed to set up a pretty unoriginal path. The dialogue, the characters, even the main problem all came across as forced and insincere. Still, I hope they can turn it around, because I'm not against the story itself.

I watched the pilot recently and it was kinda soulless and empty and the comedy was bland and tasteless.
But it's okay Dana , It's not easy to make a beautiful perfect show like The Owl House with a really deep story and awesome relationships like Lumity twice.
The owl house was perfect in every single possible way , The second greatest animated show ever.
Reminds me of The creators of Avatar the last airbender when they made a sequel called the legend of korra and you know how did that went.
Anyway , So good we have moringmarkugh from instagram to continue the show for us , He's been exapanding the show since January 2021 and fixing the damage the infamous disney caused.

Based on the pilot alone, the show has a very unique and intriguing story that immediately grabs your attention. The world-building feels fresh and imaginative, setting up plenty of potential for deep character arcs and emotional storytelling. The animation and visuals are absolutely stunning, every frame is so beautiful. If the series continues to maintain this level of quality in both writing and production, it has the potential to become a solid 10/10 show and a standout in modern animation.
