This review focuses solely on how the documentary itself turned out.
This is an empty, over-dramatized production. You'll hear the same points repeated endlessly, accompanied by frantic, meaningless footage that feels designed to give you a headache. Honestly, this could have been condensed into a 40-minute short documentary - stretching it into a full miniseries is unjustifiable.
Across three hollow episodes, every thread of insight is abruptly cut off, followed by another ten minutes of pointless filler. And when the series finally builds up to its "big reveal," there's nothing there - just more smoke and mirrors.
Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Don't expect anything substantial from the documentary, you would probably get more insight and information from a Wikipedia page. The focus is very much on the narrative itself, rather than giving true information on the offender or the victims. You can tell that there is a lot more to be told about the story, but they just decided to keep parts out. What about his girlfriend and her involvement, she obviously knew about what was going on behind closed doors and was also involved sometimes? Why is the documentary not exploring the whole topic of the relationship of cocaine and violent crime generally?
I feel bad for the victims, but the documentary did nothing for their case, no matter how much it claims to in its own narrative.
