It's impossible to ignore Tim Allen's age, Kat Dennings feeling out of her element & Sean William Scott not being Stiffler.
I wanted to like this show because Home Improvement & 2 Broke Girls are 2 of my favourite shows that have ever been produced but I can't. I just simply can't.
The acting is horrendous, the story doesn't excite me, the obvious holes are obvious & it has no energy. I'm sorry. 2 Broke Girls & Home Improvement, or even American Pie... it is not.
I have a feeling Tim Allen's career is at the end and if Kat Dennings doesn't play someone like Max or any of her movie roles where she's a cold hearted tough girl, it's not ever gonna work.

There are certain movies that make you want to go home & forget you ever saw them. There are certain movies that make you wish you had never been to the theatre on that particular day for those 2 and a half hours. Holes is not one of those movies. Right off the bat you have Shia Labeouf, the man who can do no wrong when it comes to acting & that's all well and good if you ignore the fact that the movie itself is a piece of beauty ala Shawshank. What Shawshank doesn't do, Holes... well... fills in the holes.
This movie made me emotionally invested in it; like a best friend or a partner you don't wanna let go of & want to know where they'll go next as they trod off into the sunset. That's what a good book or movie is supposed to do. And it succeeds in every way.
Stanley & Zero are just the tip of the iceberg. The entire cast needed to exist & the entire story worked because of it. Brilliant storytelling, brilliant acting, brilliant direction, production, cinematography; everything!

Personally, I don't think the Muppets have ever ever ever EVER been wrong about anything. This show just proves my point. I think they're going to elevate Lily Singh to new heights that she hasn't attained yet & bring in fans from all corners of the globe. Lily, to me, was an internet celebrity, and now, she's much much more; she manages the Mayhem.
I was skeptical about this show when I heard that the Mayhem were going to star, but then I realized they haven't been the center of any show or movie yet.
Imagine. You're floating on a river in the summery, relaxation mode you get yourself into this time of the year, when you come to an eddy that stops you in your tracks & allows you to explore what's around you for a moment in time, if your choosing. That's what this show is, does & will continue to do. A bright, refreshing view of something we've never seen before.
The Mayhem is as brilliant as they always were but with the spotlight on, for the first time, fans of the muppets & fans of entertainment in general can view their magnificence in all its glory.
All hail the Electric Mayhem!
