"Pulp Fiction" is an absolute cult. This was his second vision for me, because the first one had disappointed me I decided to review it more carefully. This time I noticed what everyone calls a masterpiece. Tarantino with this film messes up the lives of several protagonists, then bringing them together with different hilarious and very unusual events. The characters are great: I loved the couple Vincent-Jules, one opposite of the other who fight throughout the film showing their ruthlessness as a killer. Among these, the intense and perfect performances of Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Tim Roth and the entire cast are to be praised. Thanks to these great actors came out in part this film, they gave great intensity. The direction of Tarantino is perfect, with unusual shots, for example not framing the subject who currently speaks but the subject who is listening with a different and hidden view of the speaker. Also many interesting shots with close-ups in motion or many other really incredible details. Tarantino has also done a spectacular job in the writing of dialogues, with unforgettable moments. The film also has some of the most iconic scenes in cinema history, such as the dance scene between Vincent and Mia. The soundtracks are truly spectacular, with music from the 60s' that perfectly match the randomness and beauty of the stories. The costumes are fabulous and perfectly matched with the characteristics of the characters and especially with the context that offers the film and the fabulous setting. The ending is truly breathtaking. In summary, "Pulp Fiction" is a film that does not follow a chronological order but manages to alternate perfectly all the events, some moments of which are hard and raw, while others strange and unusual, with even a handful of laughs. The film is centred on interpretations, relationships between the characters and monologues, with unforgettable quotes.

"Gladiator" is an epic movie. I have only seen this masterpiece now because the film did not appeal to me due to its historical component and appeared to me as a monotonous and boring film. Now that I have seen it, I would say to me in the past not to think about anything and start seeing because this is a film not to be missed. The plot is super addictive: the film is about Maximus, the general of the Roman army of the North, who after the death of the emperor Marcus Aurelius does not reserve loyalty for the new emperor Commodus. After the murder of his wife and son, Maximus begins to live in death and loneliness to survive, seeking revenge as a final mission before death and reunion with his family. The film is written perfectly, with spectacular and cult dialogues and monologues, unforgettable. The film was not boring at all, in fact I loved it and never got bored. Much due to the splendid soundtracks of Zimmer, literally a music magician, but also by the perfect performances of Russel Crowe as Maximus, Joaquin Phoenix as Commodo, but also Richard Harris, Connie Nielsen and all the others were fundamental. I have no other word in mind but "perfection" to describe the costumes, they made me crazy, especially those of Maximus. Also I think that the film, although it was released almost 25 years ago, has aged very well, being close to today's level. Obviously there are areas such as audio-visual that are slightly backward, but at the time you could not do any better than this. Ridley Scott's organization was perfect, with a spectacular direction and shots that gave a "plus" to the scenes, giving it a much more strained impact. I loved the Roman setting, especially the arenas, fabulous. The emotional component of the film is strong, especially in Maximus and with him in the finale of the film, which is wonderful. I would also say that the Oscars are well deserved. It would have been a crime not to give the Oscar to Russell Crowe, Janty Yates' costumes and Scott Millan's sound. I'm also surprised that Zimmer didn't win anything. In any case, "The Gladiator" is one of the films that has marked and will continue to mark cinema history and also represents one of my favorite movies.

"Stand by me" is an incredible film. This adaptation from the books of Stephen King makes perfectly understand the meaning of the word "friendship", in which we do not abandon not even in the hardest moments. The film tells of a beautiful adventure played by friends in search of a corpse. A super simple and banal plot, but made effective from the film itself. All this is a story, a memory, by Gordie, who is the narrator of the film. I was impressed by the writing of the dialogues, a set of playful scenes with dialogues that however manage to be taken seriously by the viewer and that make understand that slowly everyone becomes great. The actors were truly incredible, absurd interpretations. The setting of the 50's along with the incredible moments that alternate joyful emotions and dramatic moments is literally amazing. I loved the characters: Gordie is essentially the one that focuses most attention, with a nice background and a nice inclusion of his family history: all done well, with a great characterization. Chris is what attracted me most, a brave, enterprising and good guy, but known as a bad guy. Teddy, along with the great interpretation of Corey Feldman is a great character. A mixture of madness and sympathy that animates the majority of the scenes. Vern, on the other hand, is the most innocent and fearful of : very well interpreted, with a great characterization that manages to warm your heart. I really liked the choice of the director to insert inside the film an adventure that contrasts being children and facing serious dangers. Reiner's direction and shots are really interesting and make the film really smooth, besides the merit of lasting less than an hour and a half, which I love to madness. The music and soundtracks are really attractive and are connect really good on the theme of friendship. The ending, however, is something really sad that you can understand only by seeing this masterpiece. I can't wait to see him better, a movie that warms the heart of anyone.
