I mean the special effects are great ,it has plenty of entertaining action and an overrated yet decent score as well as good performances. But the narrative is where things fall apart. It seems like Chris Nolan thought that the more confusing his film is, the more prestige it will gain among the pantheon of the so called greatest movies of all time. And unfortunately it worked. Every last random guy who wants to pretend to be a smartass pretends to love this movie he loves to call thought provoking. And only the fact he calls it thought provoking instead of confusing for the sake of being confusing is what should easily expose him.

This may sound absurd, but i first watched this movie with my father when i was 10. Back then I did not understand the humor but I still liked it. When I watched it some years after, the jokes landed better and i understood that this movie is a masterpiece. Firstly, the humor with the prince being out of touch is like the humor in Thor one, it just lasts more and it is of higher quality. The story is compelling, the characters are all likable for different reasons, either for being relatable or just fun, and of course the jokes are hilarious. It is incredible how a movie can be so extremely funny, while also having a wholesome message. I might be biased because I am a big fan of 80's movies, but they don't make comedies like that anymore. If you haven't already watched it then go watch it as soon as possible! GREAT FILM.

Well, i get the fact that this movie might be forgettable. And i also get that some jokes are out of place. But still, very enjoyable. Every character(except Malekith) is interesting, and every performance goes from decent up to great. Stellan Skasgard gives a great performance as Selvig, Natalie Portman is still good, Chris Hemsworth is still iconic as Thor and Tom Hiddelston as Loki TERIFFIC. Every side character is interesting and Asgard is pictured beautifully. Also Stan Lee has another incredible cameo. The only problems i have with this movie are Malekith, some jokes that don't hit the right spots and the soundtrack. Overall a fun experience.
