So as you can see from other people who have given a review that yes there is a recap of the shibuya arc, but who cares you literally get to watch the best parts over again on the big screen and the new episode is literally mind blowing. The animation was superb and even better then I had previously thought it would be. I watched in pure awe as I saw the end of volume 16 brought to life in front me.better then both demon slayer and the new chainsaw man. Jujutsu kaisen is both my favorite anime and manga so keep that in mind. If you have read vol 16 and 17 of the manga you get a taste of what's in store for you with "execution" and how the culling games arc is truly the best arc in the manga. If you love jujutsu kaisen it's a must watch, not just because the animation is amazing, but the story and the characters we have only seen on our Tv's up until now are on the big screen and getting to rewatch the best parts of the shibuya arc on that screen was worth the ticket price and more, okutsu's entrance alone gave me goosebumps better then I imagined when I first read the manga. No spoilers here.
"Monster: The Ed Gein Story" is a chilling masterpiece that delves into the twisted world of one of America's most infamous serial killers. Charlie Hunnam delivers a career-defining performance as Ed Gein, capturing the eerie duality of a seemingly innocent man harboring unspeakable horrors. The series masterfully weaves together the grotesque reality of Gein's crimes with their profound impact on the horror genre, showcasing how his actions inspired classics like "Psycho" and "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre." Hunnam's portrayal is so unsettling that it gives viewers a glimpse into the mind of a true monster, making "Monster: The Ed Gein Story" a must-watch for fans of psychological horror and true crime. This series doesn't just tell a story; it forces you to confront the darkness within us all, leaving you with a haunting sense of the thin line between sanity and madness.
Giancarlo Esposito gave a great performance, it has a similar feel resembling the first seasons episode "Escape From Shit Mountain" which is still my favorite so far from this series. However, this episode gave a throwback to the thriller/horror genre of the early 1970's and was just a great watch overall. It does have a tragic overtone to it and asks the question what would you do to achieve your dream which in this series is a common occurrence but unlike previous entries we see how it is perceived by the significant other. Great beginning to only what we can hope will be an even greater season.
