The feeders on this show like Mark are so disturbing. He doesn't love Gina! He loves her fat and that she satisfies his fetish. Like she said, if she died he'd find another woman immediately. Despite them having a child, he'd immediately bring in a woman for her to call mom. Sick!!!! Poor Gina. I think she finally figured it out after years of marriage. I hope she's still alive, but this was made in 2015. I'd like to get an update. The other women had sad and terrifying stories. It's abuse and they don't realize because it's disguised as loving care. These men make them think it's true love. It's not.
The creators had no idea what to make of it. Is it a drama series or a freaking documentary?! Pick one! The back and forth constantly is annoying. And it ruins it. I wish it were just a series. The actors are holding their own. I suppose it's the writing that suffers. Could have been better. Netflix is on a roll with period pieces, and this could have been much more popular with viewers had they stuck with what works. People want the drama, sex, love, and betrayal of this part of history. There have been series made before, but none that stick out. It's so disappointing they couldn't figure this out.
And I thought it was just something to pass the time. The mystery with the abandoned hotel during a hurricane, missing kids, book, married couple, etc. They wrote it well so it works and is all tied in.
The elevator girl... geesh. Normally this show is slightly spooky, but this episode was scary! Real horror. Great episode! I do wish her kids weren't so loud in every scene they're in.
These judges wanted to wash their hands and go along with the good old boy league. Protecting pedophiles who were giving kids stds and both physical and mental trauma on a regular basis. It wasn't kidnapping. Makes you wonder why the judges sided with the fathers despite the doctor's testimony and medical records/test results. Maybe some were pedophiles themselves!
Some things don't make sense. Why does she have so many kids, and an absent husband? Where do these cases come from...? The Catholic Church? A psychologist, priest, and tech guy trio try to investigate the differences between the paranormal and mentally ill. Weekly. There's chemistry between the actors. It's just strange.
Some people use race to advance themselves in life. Rachel is one of those people. She takes it way too far! Hair perms, self tanner, etc. She took cultural appropriation to the final level. Her poor parents have been emotionally abandoned because they remind her she is 100% white. The kids had to deal with the publicity because their mom is dishonest. That's on her! No one else. This woman will never take responsibility for her actions, ever.
They made this too boring and easy to predict. Daisy couldn't save this movie. So many details were left out. It was made like a Lifetime movie. The setting was good. I will give it that.
I remember watching this on mtv at 17 thinking I don't think this is going to go as well as it did in 1994. You can't have this many people in the summer heat for days with $4 water. There was also A LOT of testosterone in the crowds. Too many packs. Lord of the Flies in a way. The organizers were so delusional and out of touch with millennials. People paid a lot to be treated badly with little access to shade, and the basics to stay alive. Woodstock 99 proved you can't recreate a moment in history that was so special and perfect the way it was in 69'.
Kept thinking any minute now this girl will get her **** straight and realize her gift, but it's agony. She's an idiotic brat. Always running away, ignorant, and chasing some mediocre boy.
It's so politically driven and most episodes of season 2 are boring. Wtf were they thinking? There's so many interesting stories and public figures from the 90's! I don't wanna hear about UFC for two hours.
I think it aired on Lifetime when I watched it. I remember a very baby faced Ashley Judd was one of the daughters, and it was a good show. Kind of in the group with 30 Something or Life Goes On. Family shows that had more drama based episodes.
Jemima makes me want to sympathize with Olivia, but you know what's coming .... One evil woman. It's so good! A very dark twisted family tale. I look forward to each episode. It reels you in.
The original was before my time, but the night this premiered I managed to see it. I was 9. So it stuck with me. Finding it streaming some years back was such a flashback! I wish Hulu still had it. This show was overshadowed by Desert Storm breaking news coverage. Them filming in daylight was awful, but I guess they had to. Filming only at night would take months. That's it's only flaw! It's Gothic, moody, romantic, and really a good remake of a classic soap opera.
Aurora is a very unlikable character. Emma ends up being her rock for most of her childhood (and beyond) due to Aurora's obvious personality disorder. But Emma struggles financially and in love because she settled for the wrong man, and she has three kids mixed up in a bad marriage. It's a very complicated mother daughter relationship.
They don't make movies like this anymore. It was just incredible. The special effects and makeup team were amazing! They made all these characters come to life. This movie helped shape my childhood since I loved anything magical with unicorns, and mysterious creatures in movies. It has this aesthetic that's so pleasing. Like a fairytale land.
Recently the movie poster was found behind layers of other movie posters in the NY subway. Kevin tried to find it, but it had been covered up in no time. That made me watch the movie because I had never heard of it. NY is a funny place where there's layers of history under the surface.
Great family. Of all the historical reality shows in the early 00's they had one of the best families. The nanny making jokes about the fuel warden. Lol Who was her grandson. Everyone seems to pull their weight besides the kids, which is understandable. They were hungry often. I wish BBC still made these shows!
I loved watching this show as a kid. Stopped watching after San Diego. It became boring, and I felt more mature than who they chose to be on the show. I assumed they filmed for 6 months to a year, but it's only a few months and they ask roommates to fight or hook up. What made it cool ended long ago, but the early seasons were good.
