I'll admit, I didn't have high expectations but wow! I found myself laughing out loud on multiple occasions. And beyond the comedy, the blend of characters work really well. Each have their own quirky personalities and they all are written with depth and growth in mind.

There are also really fun moments between each of the characters. There's jovial conflict but in the end they all really care for one another, which is heartwarming.

Right up to the end, you'll be wondering what is really happening in this movie. Of course I won't spoil the ending... you'll just have to watch. The laughs are interspersed purposely to keep you guessing what this "thriller" is really all about.

The cast is what really shines in this movie. Each actor is cast perfectly. The music is also top notch. The soundtrack fits so perfectly and signals when you should be in the edge of your seat, waiting for another twist.

All in all, I hope Jake Johnson keeps writing and directing. He always gets me laughing with his perfect delivery and now this movie proves he's got the writing chops, too.

This is the Muppet series we've been waiting for. It's funny, loaded with cameos, has great storytelling and it's the first muppet production since the muppets, that finally has heart again. Each episode builds on itself. For the true muppet fan, there are plenty of Easter eggs. For the first time Muppet fan, the characters grow with each episode and you'll grow to fall in love with each quirky personality. The relationships between the "real life" actors and the muppets are genuine, just like in the muppet show and the muppet movies. I love the fact that this season focuses on just the electric mayhem and not all the muppet "regulars". It gives them a real chance to shine.
