This film was entirely predictable from beginning to end. It was a variation on the same contrived story that the other sequels used to explain why people were venturing back to the island of the dinosaurs. We knew from the beginning who would live and who would die. There were no surprises. The CGI wasn't terrible, but the dinosaurs were mainly used as devices to chase the humans and provide thrills (unlike the first Jurassic park where there was an effort to have the dinos behave as they actually would have when they walked the earth). But for all that, it was fun, light hearted and had some enjoyable action scenes, especially the scenes on the boat at the beginning of the movie. The musical score was classic Jurassic Park and the characters were generally likable or loathsome, as applicable. So not great, but not as bad as some of the other sequels.
