On a family visit, a young man and his girlfriend set out to discover why his eccentric uncle has been mysteriously confined to one room for years.

Twelve people are passengers on board.The boatmen are taking them to safety, far away from the fierce clutches of war. All the people on board are devastated by the horrors of war. As the story advances, different events unravel.

Dewan Sharif is an influential person in village and whoever rise voice against him, he kills him. His elder brother left villages a long time ago and lives in town. He plans to occupy the property his brother left in the village. During election time, he goes town and hires a hooligan to take care the opposition. His nephew Khosru also comes to village during election. He falls in love with Sharif's maid-servant's daughter Dola and it make Sharif angry. Sharif makes Dola's family desert the village. He also maddened Khosru with a medicine as he become threat of his occupying his brother's property.

Due to the conspiracy of the political counterpart, a student politician Asad gets killed in a mob. His political counterpart Mahmud and Sharafat get the benefit of this. Sharafat is betrayed by Mahmud and gets arrested. After getting released from jail, Sharafat runs a newspaper and publishes evil influence of Mahmud in student politics. He also supports an elected vice president of a college Anik to uncover the truth about Mahmud that creates uproar in the college campus and ends with several deaths.

Masum Choudhury, son of Raihan Choudhury, rebels against his ruthless and inhumane father, abandons his title, and disguises himself as a homeless man to pursue a girl he falls in love with--who passionately hates the Choudhury bloodline because his father killed her parents.
