I was curious to see what the results would be for this list. I don't know the correct parameters editors use for the movie and television sections but I went by votes and rating in the advanced search page.
Criteria for votes count changed for each generation:
2,000 for PS4/Xbox One/Switch (2013-)
1,750 for PS3/360/Wii (2007-2012)
1,500 for PS2/Xbox/Cube (2002-2006)
1,000 for PS1/64 (1997-2001)
750 for prior (-1996)
