  • John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson in 1408 (2007)

    1. 1408

    20071h 44mPG-1364Metascore
    6.8 (307K)
Author Michael Enslin, who specializes in debunking paranormal occurrences, checks into the fabled room 1408 in the Dolphin Hotel in New York City, settles in, and soon confronts genuine terror.
DirectorMikael HåfströmStarsJohn CusackSamuel L. JacksonMary McCormack
This movie is simply awesome , it has it all , acting , directing , amazing story ( based of a Stephan King story ) , and a good score.

Only proplem is that it has 2 versions ( with different endings ) ,
a "Theatrical release" , and "Director Cut",I have seen both of em and i can honestly say that the "Theatrical release" version is WAY better.

Even though if you can only find the director cut it is still worth watching ( if you like horror you will definetly like this movie ).

    DirectorNeil JordanStarsSaoirse RonanGemma ArtertonSam Riley
This is more of a Drama than a horror , that being said it has good scares , terrific acting & direction , the story is a bit weak in a couple of places but the movie still Solid enough for a horror movie .
  • Tak Fujimoto, John Erick Dowdle, Sam Mercer, Brian Nelson, M. Night Shyamalan, Martin Whist, Elliot Greenberg, and Fernando Velázquez in Devil (2010)

DirectorJohn Erick DowdleStarsChris MessinaCaroline DhavernasBokeem Woodbine
The movie is not as scary as the title Suggests , but the movie has a different prespective and an amazing plot .

It might not be the most powerfull of horrors but still totally worth checking out .

    DirectorFede AlvarezStarsJane LevyShiloh FernandezJessica Lucas
Now I am not a fan of the original Evil Dead ( I thought the first one was good but the second and third were complete sherades to me ),
but this movie completly brought it for me , the characters were great , the plot was awesome , and it has good scares .

the movie has powerful gore ,so if you don't like gore , I don't recommend that you watch it , also the movie isn't perfect , there is a weakness in it here or there but you wont find it unless your really looking for something to bash this movie for and there I have only one response for you " Haters gonna HATE ".

Pandorum is a sci-fi horror , generally I don't like sci-fi horrors because I think they are not as scary as rest of the horrors but Pandorum is a good exception because it is just as scary , I recommend it to those knowing how creepy space could be .
  • Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat in Paranormal Activity (2007)

    DirectorOren PeliStarsKatie FeatherstonMicah SloatMark Fredrichs
I am a paranormal fan especially the first one , this movie started very small practically nowhere and ended up as one of the best horrors worldwide and that is saying something .

PS : you will notice that the 2nd and 4th movies aren't on the list and that is because they are not good enough as the 1rt and 3rd movies

Paranormal Activity 3 raised the bar from the rest of the paranormal movies , the story is bigger with more scares , watching it in theatre is an amazing experiance.

If you are going to watch just one of the paranormal movies , I recommend this one .
