Loved seeing Ryoko Hirosue, hadn't seen her since I watched DoroDoro. People who are not familiar with Japanese culture, may not understand. I would suggest people that have a basic understanding of the culture to watch this film.

This one was special as Miyazaki was able to draw what he loves.

The movie featured so many elements of his past films and appears to much deeper than the previous ones as this film was based on a real man. So beautiful, I can't wait to watch the film again.

I say war film but its deeper than that. This film was beautifully animated and a once in a lifetime masterpiece.
