Bar maid Belle (Violet Loraine) is in love with the owner of the inn where she works, a young and handsome member of the gentry, Archie (Edwin Styles). He's lost a lot of money on a race, and two acquaintances, Dick (Hartley Power) and Chester (Emlyn Williams), are about to get him to sign the inn over to them when Belle convinces co-worker Sam (Gordon Harker), who's in love with her, to buy it instead. When Archie won't marry her, she leaves the inn and becomes famous with her beautiful voice, singing, among other songs, "There's No Green Grass Round the Old North Pole" and "Let the Great, Big World Keep Turning." She marries Archie, they have a child, Archie dies during WWI, Belle loses her voice and for many years winters in warm climates whilst her daughter, Kitty (Aileen Marson), grows up in the care of Archie's aunt (Marie Lohr). Sam goes out to Nice and convinces Belle to return to sing at the inn, which has become a fancy road house. Sam has partnered with Dick and Chester, who Belle always suspected of being crooks. Dick and Chester and Lady Chettwinde (Anne Grey) bring trouble to the road house. Inspector Donovan (Stanley Holloway) and his partner Hugh (Romilly Lunge) help solve the problem and all ends happily.

The vision of the seven deadly sins by seven French directors as follows: (1) Anger: In a gentle French town, several men find flies in their Sunday soups. They have arguments with their wives, that grows successively to the streets, country and world. (2) Gluttony: A family arrives late for the buffet of the funeral of the father of the patriarch. (3) Envy: The maid Rosette is envious of a movie star that is lodged in the hotel she works. Rosette seduces her lover and later she returns to the hotel as a client. 4) Lust: Two friends discuss the meaning of lust. One of them recalls that when he was a child, he misunderstood the meaning of lust with luxury. (5) Sloth: An aspirant actress asks for a ride to the actor Eddie Constantine with the clear intention to seduce him. They go to his apartment, but Eddie is so lazy that does not have sex with her to avoid having to dress again. (6) Pride: One unfaithful couple cheats each other. The businesswoman has a love affair with a man that asks her to travel to Paris with him and get married when she gets the divorce. Her husband is a salesman that cheats her with her friend Heloise. (7) Greed: Seven university students want to have sex with an expensive prostitute that charges 50,000 francs to spend a night with the client. They decide to make a lottery with 25 students giving 2,000 francs each. On the next morning, the prostitute asks the winner how he got money to be with her, and he tells about the lottery. She says that she will return his money but greed wins.

Out of the blue, Jeanne visits André and he offers to give piano classes to help her in her examination. Jeanne becomes closer to André and sooner she discovers that Mika might be drugging her stepson with Rohypnol. Further, she might have killed his second wife Lisbeth.

In a small provincial French town, Dr Morasseau, Mr Lavoisier and butcher Filiol decide to create a significant estate business but Mrs Cuno and her son Louis do not want to sell their house. Louis presumably provokes the death of Filiol.

Inspector Lavardin investigates on the murder of a famous writer, whose widow happens to be Helen, a woman Lavardin once loved. She has a daughter from a first marriage, who actually killed her stepfather, as he was trying to abuse her.
