B&W - DirectorsBill TytlaGeorge GermanettiStarsJackson BeckJack MercerMae QuestelThe first Olympics, starring Hercules (looking, but not quite sounding, like a really pumped-up Bluto), who challenges anyone to do the same feats as him. Popeye takes that challenge, of course. First, they battle animals, with Bluto pulling the skins off two wild elephants and Popeye turning three lions into a nesting set. The discus throw doesn't go well, with Herc's disc swooping Popeye into Herc's hand. The javelin is even worse for Popeye, with Herc throwing him all the way to the moon. This gives him a chance to go after Olive in typical Bluto fashion; her cries of help reach Popeye, who prays to the Greek goddess Spinachia, who delivers a can of spinach to him.(1948.06.18.Friday)

Color - DirectorsDave FleischerSeymour KneitelStarsMargie HinesFrank MataloneJack MercerPopeye is heading over to see Olive when he hits a traffic island where a cop is directing traffic; when he gets there, he manages to get more tickets for blowing his horn and parking illegally. The cop rings the bell, and Popeye manages to wreck Olive's apartment by dropping what he's doing, each time he writes a ticket.
- DirectorsDave FleischerThomas JohnsonStarsMargie HinesJack MercerTedd PierceBluto's in the Army; he tries to sneak off base, but can't. Popeye passes by, on the way to a date with Olive; Bluto invites him in, then swaps uniforms (yes, they fit very badly). Popeye ends up in a tank drill, which he does very badly, driving through a house, into a pond, and ultimately falling off a cliff. That's it, it's time for the spinach, and a run for it; he manages to outrun or out maneuver all the other tanks and arrives at Olive's just as Bluto is walking out with her (oddly enough, even though the date with Olive is the motivation for the whole plot, she has only one line). The boys fight in the tank and Popeye swaps uniforms back again, just as the tank boys catch up; that gets Bluto blamed for all of Popeye's hijinks.
- DirectorsBill TytlaGeorge GermanettiStarsJackson BeckJack MercerMae QuestelPopeye becomes a sheriff of a lawless Western town.
- DirectorsIzzy SparberAl EugsterGeorge GermanettiStarsJackson BeckJack MercerSid RaymondTo convince Popeye to throw away his spinach, Bluto fakes his death, after showing clips of "spinach moments" from a couple earlier shows.
- DirectorsIzzy SparberThomas JohnsonStarsJack MercerJackson BeckMae QuestelPopeye and Olive are on a safari, he with a gun and she with a camera. She wanders off to stalk a monkey, and happens across Bluto as a Tarzan-like character. She's smitten, as is he, so he shows off a bit. Popeye finally catches on, and they start the usual round of fighting and one-upmanship. Bluto summons a wide array of animals, and while Popeye's occupied, hauls Olive high into a treehouse. With some help from the monkey, Popeye has his spinach and turns most of the animals into fur coats (on a rack the monkey pushes through the melee), then rescues Olive by hauling on the tree's roots until she's at ground level.
- DirectorsSeymour KneitelSteve MuffatiStarsJackson BeckJack MercerMae QuestelPopeye's nephews don't want to eat their spinach, so Popeye tells them about his youth, before he liked spinach. In a Jack and the beanstalk scenario, he climbs a spinach-stalk and encounters a greedy giant. He ultimately vanquishes the giant with help from spinach that he accidentally eats from a giant can, and the nephews chow down on their sandwiches.
- DirectorsSeymour KneitelThomas JohnsonStarsJackson BeckJack MercerMae QuestelOlive Oyl's Farm is desperately in need of a farmhand. Fortunately, or unfortunately, the boys are driving by. They compete for the job. Chores: Getting water from a well, picking apples, shoeing a horse, gathering eggs. Popeye feeds a hen a little spinach, and she produces a mountain of eggs, which eventually end up all over Bluto. Bluto drops an anvil on Popeye, then goes after Olive against her wishes, chasing her into a succession of haystacks (where he finds a needle!). The chicken feeds Popeye his spinach, and he triumphs, sending Bluto into the pigpen (where the pigs won't have anything to do with him).
- DirectorsDave FleischerWilliam HenningStarsPinto ColvigMargie HinesJack MercerOlive reads a ghost story to Popeye and Bluto. Bluto leaves and rigs a haunted house and lures them to it. But they quickly discover him and, even better, a can of invisible paint, and they get the better of him.
- DirectorsIzzy SparberThomas JohnsonStarsJackson BeckJack MercerMae QuestelPopeye has beaten Bluto to a date with Olive. Seeing that Olive is superstitious, Bluto changes the date to Friday the 13th, and proceeds to rig various proofs that bad things will happen if she goes out.
- DirectorsIzzy SparberThomas JohnsonStarsJackson BeckJack MercerMae QuestelPopeye and Bluto are manning a fire station when the alarm comes in: it's Olive's house. - DirectorsSeymour KneitelThomas JohnsonStarJack MercerPopeye's nephews have been practicing their music and are getting good, but it's bedtime. After Popeye puts them to bed, they discover that many of the things in their bedroom can also be used to make music. And they are also blessed with an uncanny ability to appear to sleep every time Popeye comes to check on them.
- DirectorsDave FleischerOrestes CalpiniStarsPinto ColvigMargie HinesJack MercerOlive writes a letter to Popeye: she's through with sailors; it's cowboys for her. Popeye immediately sails off to the West, where he finds, who else, Bluto as the head of the ranch where Olive is enthralled. Bluto gives Popeye a wild horse to ride, and, after a few humiliating defeats, Popeye conquers it (and wins back Olive's heart). Bluto punches Popeye out, and into the clutches of what can best be described as a rattlesnake constrictor. Bluto then starts menacing Olive, so Popeye eats his spinach, saves her, and defeats Bluto and his gang.
- DirectorsIzzy SparberThomas JohnsonStarsJackson BeckJack MercerMae QuestelPopeye's traveling department store comes to hillbilly country. He gets upset as Bluto, mistaking a radiator for an accordion, cuckoo clocks for a shooting gallery, and a girdle for a hammock, does violence to his store. When Olive arrives, looking for a makeover, that distracts Popeye a while. Bluto sees the "new" Olive, gets jealous, and the feud is on.

- DirectorsSeymour KneitelAl EugsterThomas JohnsonStarsJackson BeckGilbert MackJack MercerBluto muscles out Popeye to take Olive to the fair. Popeye rushes ahead and poses as a fortune teller, luring Olive in. He shows Olive her future (actually, her past) in the crystal ball: first, a clip of a mountain climbing sequence that culminates in Bluto assaulting Olive. Then, a clip from another amusement park showing strongman Bluto stealing Olive away to a roller-coaster while Popeye rings a strength-testing bell repeatedly. Olive, having seen this, no longer wants anything to do with Bluto and walks out. Bluto exposes Popeye and chases Olive into a Tunnel of Love; Popeye follows and trashes Bluto.

- DirectorsSeymour KneitelAl EugsterStarsJackson BeckJack MercerMae QuestelOlive is reading ghost stories to the boys. Popeye scoffs; Bluto decides to take advantage of this by staging various pranks (a headless man, an animated skeleton, and a sheet-over-balloon ghost). He pins the blame on Popeye and then goes to comfort Olive. Popeye retaliates by turning invisible, thanks to a jar of vanishing cream.
