Barefoot Women in Movies

Chloe Grace Moretz is barefoot through much of this, both in her own apartment and in that of the titular character. Maika Monroe is also barefoot in several of her scenes, though she has significantly less screen time overall. Isabella Huppert is also shown dancing around in pantyhose.

Kelly Reilly is kidnapped in the opening moments of this and spends the entire running time barefoot in the home of her captor.

Maika Monroe is barefoot throughout starting with her capture during the first few minutes. Even after her captor exchanges her futuristic prison jumpsuit for regular clothes, her feet remain bare.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is barefoot in jeans right up to the climax. There are a few great close ups and mildly dirty sole shots as she crawls through the ventilation system.

The movie takes place on a yacht, and as such all of the characters are barefoot for the duration including the lovely Emily Tyra.

Patricia Arquette's feet go through hell in this - she's barefoot for most of the movie - over rough terrain, jungle, unimproved roads, and even gravel.

Christina Ricci is barefoot throughout, and even wanders around outside barefoot. The one scene she does wear shoes into a supermarket, and she loses them before the scene ends and is once again barefoot by the time she leaves.

Most of this takes place in a tree that two women have climbed to escape a killer Crocodile. Both are barefoot from the time they leave the boat for the tree through the end of the movie. There are a handful of close-ups and clear shots.

Maika Monroe's third entry on this list. She absent-mindedly kicks her shoes off while riding around in a car, and isn't seen with footwear again. Great close-ups in the car scene when she first loses her slip-ons.

Analeigh Tipton is barefoot for the duration of this. Good thing, because there's not much to see in this movie otherwise.

Leigh Taylor-Young plays the stereotypical barefoot hippie in this, and does so adorably. She's barefoot everywhere - in the street, working at a clothing shop, even in attendance at a funeral. Precious few focus shots but worth a watch anyway.

Kaya Scodelario wears thin flip-flops for the start of this and loses them within the first 15 minutes or so. She spends the rest of the movie barefoot as she alternates between swimming, climbing, and crawling around her father's destroyed house.

Polyanna McIntosh is barefoot in scenes before she is 'domesticated' by the convent, and shown barefoot in several flashback-type scenes after that.

Classic barefoot scene featuring Sarah Polley, who is forced to escape her house dressed in her pajamas and barefoot. She finds a change of clothes and, sadly, a pair of tennis shoes later when the survivors meet up in the shopping mall.

Almost every character in this movie is depicted barefoot at one point or another. Brie Larson, Anna Kendrick, and Rosemarie DeWitt all have scenes.

There is a brief barefoot scene featuring a minor character bound in a basement, but adding to this list for Jane Levy's scenes. Though she's not barefoot, she instructs her companions to remove their shoes when breaking into a house to avoid making noise, and spends the rest of the movie running around in black socks. She even escapes the house and runs down the street like this in two separate scenes.

Johanna Stanton is barefoot throughout this trippy movie about a young woman confined in a room of horrors.

Fairly unimaginative thriller about a woman trapped in an elevator while being pursued by her would-be killer. Thankfully for those of us who hold certain interests, she ditches her heels during her initial escape and spends the better part of this barefoot in the elevator.

Stacey Travis is barefoot in all but a few scenes, even when she's cutting and welding on a metal sculpture. A nice surprise given the post-apocalyptic setting.

This was full of bare feet, both for Emma Booth and Ashleigh Cummings. Ashleigh's character is asked to remove her shoes when entering the house she winds up being kept in, and neither of our lead actresses wear shoes again.

Vastly inferior shot-for-shot remake of "The Disappearance of Alice Creed." Jella Hasse is barefoot for most of her kidnapping, but dons footwear for the climax once out of the room she's held in.

A personal favorite of mine, and not just for the foot content which, given it's a Tarantino flick, is gratuitous. Uma Thurman has several scenes and several close-ups, and there are a few more shots at Lucy Liu's club.

From a standpoint of barefoot content, I actually prefer this one to the first. Uma Thurman is buried alive barefoot in jeans, and remains that way once she digs herself out and takes her revenge on those who have wronged her. A classic.
