Prince Myshkin returns to Russia from Switzerland, where he was treated for a mental illness for several years. In St. Petersburg, he ends up in the house of his distant relatives. He finds himself in a cycle of passions and intrigues.

The plot is set in modern Moscow, in the 1990s, with "New Russians", Hummer H1 jeeps, bribery, violence, truck fulls of tinned stew as a dowry, etc.

Frantisek, the main character is returning to his family. Until now he's been, "successfully" avoiding all relationships. He is an ingenuous and a pure person and thus, is regarded as an idiot. He becomes involved in various love and family conflicts. It is because he hasn't experienced much of the "real" life that he is able to perceive human relationships in their genuineness.

A free adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's classic novel "The Idiot". Here, two Japanese actors perform the key roles of a man in love with a woman who chooses the love of another man. In another sketch, the two male friends are united to discuss the issue.

An epileptic man (Myshkin) returns from medical treatment abroad and finds himself in love with Nastasia. There are twists and turns as the he gets engaged to another woman (Amba) only to have an epileptic seizure. Nastasia and he get betrothed but on the wedding day she goes to her rich pursuer (Pawan) only to be killed by him. Both men wait together for the police. Ultimately, Myshkin descends into insanity.

Drama about Prince Myschkin - known as The Idiot. His philandering ways makes him discard his lover Nastasja in favor of a younger girl.

Muichkine, a young Russian prince, returns home to St. Petersburg from a mental institution, determined to spread decency and kindness in the harsh and cruel world. He becomes betrothed to an innocent young girl while trying to save a less-innocent woman from her own travail, but jealousy and his own naivete conjoin to bring about unimaginable tragedy.

A Japanese veteran, driven partially mad from the war, travels to the snowy island of Hokkaido where he soon enters a love triangle with his best friend and a disgraced woman.

Upon Prince Myshkin's return to St. Petersburg from an asylum in Switzerland, he becomes beguiled by the lovely young Aglaya, daughter of a wealthy father. But his deepest emotion is for the wanton, Nastasia. The choices all are forced to make lead to great tragedy.
