A newly-married couple runs into difficulty when the wife refuses to obey her husband.

Since Kovacs is his nephew, Torday welcomes them as additions to the family and has a marriage arranged for Kovacs. But the real romance starts when Ilonka is hired to instruct Kovacs in the manners and customs of the country.
