Robby was the brainchild of, and designed by industrial designer, Japanese-American engineer Robert Kinoshita. It was built in mid-1955 by the MGM prop department, at a reported cost of $125,000, to 'star' in the epic science fiction classic Forbidden Planet (1956) and its B-movie followup The Invisible Boy (1957) a year later. Robby the Robot has become one of the most popular robot icons in the history of movies and media, as recognizable as George Lucas' erstwhile comedy team of R2-D2 and C-3PO who 'co-starred' in his epic sci-fi fantasy Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977).

Wilson the Volleyball is one of Hollywood's most loved volleyballs. His glittering career started when he became the only companion of Tom Hanks' Chuck Noland in Cast Away (2000). Many say this is Wilson's best performance and he couldn't have given a better effort. He has made notable guest appearances on shows like Family Guy (1999), where he was able to poke fun at his role in Cast Away.

Otto is one of the most iconic movie objects of all time, not only recognized by audiences around the world for his only film performance in the massive hit Airplane! (1980), but he also has a profile page on IMDb along with other film cultural icons like Volleyball, Wilson the and Robby the Robot. Otto was an inflatable balloon born in 1979, created and conceived by three fathers, the ZAZ trio of Jerry Zucker, Jim Abrahams and David Zucker. They specifically wrote a part for him as an airplane's autopilot in this parody of plane disaster films, which became a spectacular hit that eventually got a sequel made in 1982 - in which Otto didn't appear. His charismatic and positive loving character always smiling captured audiences' attention from the get-go, turning him into one of the most remarkable icons of the 1980's.

Little is known about his fate and other possible projects, except that he disintegrated in Jerry Zucker's garage house some years after his famous film role.

Thing is known for The Addams Family (1964) and Halloween with the New Addams Family (1977).

Herbie the Love Bug is a beloved 1963 Volkswagen Beetle appearing in several Disney & non-Disney projects, both as itself & as several minor roles.

Herbie received his first on-screen credit in the 1969 hit 'The Love Bug'. Set against the backdrop of San Francisco, 'The Love Bug' featured Herbie saving the day as he fueled a down-on-his-luck race car driver's quest for victory and romance. Initially unmarked and all white, Herbie was emblazoned with his famous number '53' to compete in the races. 'The Love Bug' was one of the top-grossing films of 1969.

Herbie then took the title role in 'Herbie Rides Again' (1974), 'Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo' (1977) and 'Herbie Goes Bananas' (1980). He also had a television career, with the short-lived TV series 'Herbie The Love Bug' (1982), the 1997 made-for-TV film 'The Love Bug' (1997), and "Herbie: Fully Loaded" (2005). Along the way, he inspired many imitators and collected die-hard fans.

Herbie got his name from a Buddy Hackett comedy routine. In his Las Vegas stage show, Hackett joked about a snow bunny who only dates guys named Herbie. Herbie's number 53 came from baseball player Don Drysdale of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Producer Bill Walsh was a fan, and used his jersey number on Herbie. Herbie's official factory color is Pearlweiss (pearl white) which is a creamy, non-metallic white.

Oddly, Herbie is never referred to as a Volkswagen or a Beetle in the first film. He is called 'the Douglas Special' or 'the little car'. All of the Volkswagen branding was removed from the car as well. However, Volkswagen was on board for the second film and beyond, and the name and branding returned.

She also has been featured in Fangoria, Horrorhound, Mad Monster, and several Mopar magazines. Christine Movie Car offers more than your average show car experience, as she comes to life before your eyes, headlights glowing, smoke rolling and doo wop tunes flowing. Gibson has outfitted his 'girl' with state of the art effects that recreate actions from the movie, putting convention patrons "inside" the motion picture. Just hope she doesn't get too close! Trigger, Roy Rogers' beautiful Golden Palomino stallion, and co-star with Roy in many of his movies and Roy's TV show, was often billed as "the smartest horse in the movies".

The two of them appeared in dozens of westerns in the 1930s and 40s, always chasing and thwarting the bad guys, and working to serve peace and justice.

Trigger even shared the movie title with Roy on two occasions: My Pal Trigger (1946) and Trigger, Jr. (1950).

Trigger started life out as Golden Cloud (1934). His sire was a thoroughbred horse that had raced at Caliente Track, and his dam was a cold-blooded palomino. Trigger was foaled on a small ranch in the San Diego area which was partly owned by Bing Crosby. The manager of that ranch was Roy Cloud, a breeder originally from Noblesville, Indiana. At around 3 years of age, Golden Cloud was sold to the Hudkins Stables, which rented horses to the movie industry. Golden Cloud's first major appearance was in the movie, The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) where he was ridden by Olivia de Havilland. When Gene Autry failed to report for work at Republic Pictures, Roy Rogers found himself cast in the lead role for Under Western Stars (1938). Before filming began on Under Western Stars (1938), Hudkins Stables brought their best lead horses to the studio so Roy could select a mount. As Roy recalled it, the third horse he got on was a beautiful golden palomino who handled smoothly and reacted quickly to whatever he asked it to do.

Roy said of Golden Cloud "He could turn on a dime and give you some change".

Smiley Burnette, who played Roy's sidekick in his first two films, was watching and mentioned how quick on the trigger this horse was. Roy agreed and decided that Trigger was the perfect name for the horse. Roy purchased the horse for $2,500 and eventually outfitted it with a $5,000 gold/silver saddle.

Roy was proud of the fact that throughout his more than 80 films, the 101 episodes of his television series, and countless personal appearances, Trigger never fell.

Roy once said that "he felt that Trigger seemed to know when people were watching him and that he recognized applause and just ate it up like a ham!"

Trigger won a Patsy award for the role in Son of Paleface (1952) & the 1958 Craven award winner. He was so popular that at one time, he even had his own fan club with members from all over the world. On July 3, 1965, at the Rogers ranch in Hidden Valley, California, Trigger, at age 30, passed away. Roy was reluctant to "put him in the ground", so Rogers had the horse mounted in a rearing position by Bishoff's Taxidermy of California. The rest of his remains are buried in Thousand Oaks, California on one of Roy's former ranches.

Bullet is known for The Roy Rogers Show (1951).

Buttermilk was a light buckskin quarter horse, he is know for The Roy Rogers Show and a few Roy Rogers Movies including South of Caliente and Spoilers of the plains. He was owned and ridden by renowned actress Dale Evens. He had also been used for other riders such as Penny Edwards in Roy Rogers movie North of the great Divide, and Spoilers of the plains.

Seabiscuit was born on 23 May 1933 in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. He died on 17 May 1947 in Willits, California, USA.

Champion is known for The Gene Autry Show (1950), Colorado Sunset (1939) and Last of the Pony Riders (1953).

Mister Ed was born in El Monte, California, and his real name was Bamboo Harvester. He was a palomino show horse that had his own show. On the Mr. Ed show, he played a talking horse that only spoke to his owner Wilber. Bamboo Harvester actually had a stunt double who stepped in often. He died in 1968 in Snodgrass Farm, Talequah, Oklahoma, USA.

Dice was owned by Ralph McCutcheon, his first successful pinto stallion. Dice could do a variety of tricks, like pull a revolver from a pocket, knock down cowboys, boost cowboys by the seat of the pants, kneel, lie down and play dead, count numbers with hoof, bow, and smile or yawn upon command, but it was his striking coloring that drew attention. It was reported that his sire was Arab X Thoroughbred cross and his dam was reported to be an American Saddle Horse X Thoroughbred cross. He appeared in many Westerns and was ridden by many stars like Gregory Peck, Jennifer Jones, Jean Arthur, Gene Autry, Bill Elliott and Richard Dix. In fact Dice made Life Magazine because while the movie "Duel in the Sun" was being filmed on location in Arizona Gregory Peck rode him into the dining room of the Hotel Santa Rita. Dice also went through the hotel lobby, entered an open elevator, decided it was too small, backed out, and climbed the stairs as well. Thunderhoof (1948) was his last film. He died at the age of thirty.

Though she was best known as Francis the Talking Mule, her real name was Molly. Molly was known for Francis Goes to the Races (1951), Francis (1950) and Francis Goes to West Point (1952). Molly won a prestigious award In 1951, when she became the very first animal to win the coveted Picture Animal Star of the Year from the American Humane Association.

KoKo, "The Miracle Horse of the Movies", was a white-maned, white-tailed chocolate-colored chestnut stallion trained by Hollywood's premier equestrian specialist Glenn H. Randall Sr. (as was the legendary Palomino Trigger ridden by Roy Rogers). It was purchased from Randall at the age of ten by cowboy actor Rex Allen. Rumour had it that KoKo was at one time earmarked for Dale Evans but was too difficult for her to handle. In any case, KoKo became Rex Allen's trusted and much loved steed and went on to perform as a trick or stunt horse, co-starring in a series of westerns Allen made for Republic between 1950 and 1954. KoKo also headlined with Allen on the rodeo circuit and (according to an interview in 1997) in "theaters, and auditoriums, nearly every summer. I'd go back for eight days and do a film and go back to the road. Take the horse and load 'im up and grab a few musicians." Allen also mused that he had more requests from fans for photos of his horse, than of himself. One of KoKo's offspring, a close lookalike, was named KoKo Jr but ultimately did not live up to his father's illustrious reputation. Unlike Trigger, KoKo did not end up as a museum exhibit but was eventually buried on Allen's ranch near Tucson, Arizona. KoKo was later exhumed and was laid to rest in Rex Allen's hometown of Willcox, Arizona. Railroad Park contains a statue of Rex Allen and a memorial for his beloved horse KoKo.

Highland Dale was born on 4 March 1943 in Missouri, USA. He was an actor, known for The Return of Wildfire (1948), Black Beauty (1946) and The High Chaparral (1967). He died in 1973 in California, USA.

Blizzard is known for The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams (1977).

Dinah is known for Way Out West (1937), Los cazadores de osos (1930) and Free Wheeling (1932).
