DirectorJeremy SaulnierStarsJeffrey WrightAlexander SkarsgårdJames Badge Dale
It's soooo good. I don't really know what people were expecting, another Green Room? It's a visceral slow burner. A western in disguise that's full of dread and atmosphere.

DirectorPanos CosmatosStarsEva BourneMichael J RogersScott Hylands
A gorgeous and unique, yet abstruse and overindulgant film. If you loooove experimental arthouse cinema and have the patience of Job, you'll adore it.

Perfectly tailored for my taste. I have a few nitpicks, but for the most part it's a perfect film. You can't get much better than that roadhouse scene.

    6.1 (54K)
Cujo, a friendly St. Bernard, contracts rabies and conducts a reign of terror on a small American town.
DirectorLewis TeagueStarsDee WallaceDaniel Hugh KellyDanny Pintauro
Though it's a fairly straightforward adaptation this movie has some fantastic acting in it, a wonderful sense of dread and great practical effects going for it, adding some real authenticity. That being said half of the time Cujo (the dog) was way too adorable to be intimidating. I loved it, but I definitely get why people wouldn't like it.
  • Dan Stevens in Apostle (2018)

In 1905, a drifter on a dangerous mission to rescue his kidnapped sister tangles with a sinister religious cult on an isolated island.
    DirectorGareth EvansStarsDan StevensRichard ElfynPaul Higgins
A bloody good time. Character development is a bit lacking in Apostle, but the directing is so full of visceral energy that its 2 hour running time flew by for me.

After receiving a file with details of three unexplained cases of apparitions, skeptical professor Phillip Goodman embarks on a terrifying trip.
DirectorsJeremy DysonAndy NymanStarsSamuel BottomleyDeborah WastellAmy Doyle
Interesting themes, a nice chilling tone and waaay too drawn out pacing. I had trouble enjoying the film overall, but I would recommend it.
