Two young Czech boys in Krkonose Mountains want experience holidays full of snowboarding and nice girls. But maybe won't be all how they think.

Charles IV, Czech king and Holy Roman Emperor, has built Karlstejn castle to house the crown jewels. More importantly, it is a place of relaxation and meditation, so no women are permitted, and no politics are to be discussed. His young wife misses him, and hearing of the prohibition, resolves to sneak in for a night. At the same time, a country girl needs to prove she has spent one night at Karlstejn to get her potential fiance's father to agree to let her marry him. Both women dress up as pages. Things get complicated when a foreign dignitary comes to discuss politics, the queen is the page guarding Charles' bedroom, and the country girl is keeping watch on the walls of the castle.

She hopes to finally make peace with her sister. The Queen of Fire devises a plan. She bewitches Mariana, King Dobromil's daughter, and turns her into a flame. Either the surrender of the ruby or the love and the courage of a young man can redeem her from this spell.

The King receives a snake as a gift from an old woman that gives the ability to understand animal's language. The King asks his servant to cook the snake, and forbids him to taste it. He disobeys, and tastes it. As a punishment, the King forces him to leave the castle to bring him back the princess Goldilocks.

When things are at their worst in the country, the king signs his soul away to Hell and the Government is taken over by his base Minister (Jirí Lábus). At this time there arrives in the Kingdom an inconspicuous happy dreamer Philip (Stepán Kubista).

The great musical comedy by F. A. Brabec V perine is the first Czech film made entirely in 3D. This stimulating comedy, in true and thorough 3D, presents a whole new computer-made world concealed in a quilt, where a large part of the film is taking place. The film V perine is a musical comedy made in the high-spirited style of Mamma Mia. In a relaxed world, where everybody used to dance rock'n'roll and the streets were full of pink Cadillacs, good and bad dreams hidden in our quilts take form. The musical adventure culminates in the magical world of dreams. Twenty two original songs accompany you throughout V perine. The films score and most songs were composed by René Rypar from the band Support Lesbiens, several exceptional guests contributed with their music. Two pieces were composed especially for the film by the band Kabát, and a melody written exclusively for In The Quilt by Karel Svoboda will be heard, several years after his death. The lyrics were put together by Writer Miroslav Adamec and Frantisek Moravec. The casting is quite grandiose: the bold and possibly slightly goofy Lucie Bila sings and dances seemingly at fingers reach, and youll experience Karel Roden as never seen before. The strong cast further includes Jirí Mádl, Anna Stropnická, Eliska Balzerová, newly holder of a Czech Lion award, Bolek Polívka, Nikol Moravcová, Arnost Goldflam, Nina Divísková. The children Amelie Pokorná and Matej Prevrátil complete the cast. The film V perine, which will surely get you in the right summertime mood, was shot in the city od Písek, in the South of Bohemia.
