Watched> Thursday, 17th July, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool (In The IMAX 3D Experience Screen 1). Rated 5 * * * * * EXCELLENT < Cert. 12A > Of all the 'super heroes', this Picture shows why SUPERMAN IS THE BEST, with all the amazing action created throughout, and performed by Superman, with a little help from three 'minor' super heroes, and a 'superhero DOG'. Filmgoers just have to get use to the superhero 'jargon' as you fly through all the superhero stuff. It's like watching all the superhero blockbusters rolled in to one, and you get this ACTION PACKED SUPERMAN. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, especially for those who are in to their Superhero's. (ps)

Watched> Tuesday, 8th July, 2025 @ The Odeon Cinema, Preston. Rated 3 * * * Good < Cert. 12A > This simple, but quirky little picture was an enjoyable watch. It tended to grow on you, as it slowly went along, and gathered momentum. RECOMMENDED. (ps)

Watched> Thursday, 3rd July, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. (In 3D) Rated 3.5 * * * Good to Very Good < Cert. 12A > The Rebirth didn't quite make the big blockbuster status to appear on the big IMAX screen 1 experience, though film/moviegoers were given the option to watch normally or in 3D. Though I enjoyed this picture, I did feel it fell short of other blockbuster types like 'F1', 'How To Train Your Dragon', Mission: Impossible>The Final Reckoning', 'Sinners' and even 'A Minecraft Movie'. Possibly the lower IMDb rating of 6.3 reflects near to my rating of 7 > Good to Very Good. It does have some of the usual Dinosaur action, plus fictional 'Hybrid' style Dinosaurs. A big plus is that Steven Spielberg (age 78) is still involved in this movie. as Executive Producer, after his first Jurassic Park movie in 1993 (32 years ago). RECOMMENDED. (ps)

Watched> Wednesday, 2nd July, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 5 * * * * * EXCELLENT < Cert. 12A > I had a feeling this TRUE STORY was going to be really good, and it turned out to be even more better than really good, it was EXCELLENT. Thanks to the wonderful acting from the two main characters in Toby Jones, as Philip Burton and Harry Lawtey, as Young Richard Burton. This well directed 'atmospheric' picture with it's smoke filled gritty mining town of Port Talbot, Wales were they lived back in the day. Well done to the production teams of BBC Wales, Brookstreet Pictures and Ffilm Cymru Wales, in bringing this wonderful Film/Movie to us. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (ps)

Watched> Tuesday, 1st July, 2025 @ The backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 3.5 * * * Good to Very Good < Cert. 12 > Fun, Fun, Fun all the way, with these 'giddy', 'silly', 'dizzy' college girls, especially the wonderful Alicia Silverstone, as Cher, who is wonderfully CUTE, ATTRACTIVE, SEXY AND VERY COMICAL, all rolled up in one. Watching this, is a wonderful way of spending 97 minutes escaping from the crazy world we all live in. Though, their is one short scene that brings us back to our real world, when Cher comes across a gunman. RECOMMENDED Fun Comedy. (ps)

Watched> Tuesday 1st July, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 3.5 * * * Good to Very Good < Cert. 15 > The return of Megan, the beautiful looking killer doll, is still full of charm, when brought back to life, but as to contend with another beautiful killing doll in Amelia, who is equally just as violent. This sequel is even more advanced than the original Megan, with more fighting action, and for my reason to give this new picture an equal raring of 7 out of 10, if I had to pick one or the other, I would go for the original. RECOMMENDED HORROR. (ps)

Watched> Thursday, 26th June, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. (On The IMAX Experience Screen 1). Rated 5 * * * * * EXCELLENT < Cert. 12A > This is the type of Picture you could see Tom Cruise playing the leading role, despite being a big fan of Motor Bikes. Instead, we have Brad Pitt, who puts in a stellar performance, and is just great as 'Sonny Hayes', who is an ageing (reckless) racing driver, and brings a lot of 'baggage' with him, as he gets a second chance at being a Champion Formula One Racing Driver, up against much younger up and coming drivers. Sonny Hayes's Ace Card in the pack is lot's of experience, talent and no fear of taking big risks to get to the very top. One of my Best Film/Movie's of 2025. Formula One are big backers of this, as Lewis Hamilton and Brad Pitt are one of many Producers. Actual Formula One drivers take part in the racing action, which is spectacular. This for me is my best ever Motor Racing Picture of all time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, whether you are a fan or not of Motor Racing. ENJOY!! (ps)

Watched> Tuesday, 24th June, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. (On The IMAX Experience Screen 1 in 3D). Rated 3.5 Good to Very Good < Cert. PG > Proper good fun from top company 'Pixar'. The Story, the Animation, the Voice-overs and the Music, are all really good entertainment. RECOMMENDED. (ps)

Watched> Saturday, 21st June, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 4 * * * * Very Good < Cert. 15 > These days, the old Zombies have advanced in a number of ways, especially in 'movement', as they move a lot quicker, so much so, THEY ARE RUNNING!!. This is a solid Danny Boyle (director) Picture. Very well made, very good storyline, very good cast of actors, including Ralph Fiennes and very good action scenes. The usual BLOOD, GORE and VIOLENCE, that as the usual ingredients of a ZOMBIE HORROR. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED with a Required Taste. (ps)

Watched> Friday, 13th June, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 3.5 * * * Good to Very Good < Cert. U > Mixed bag of everything thrown in to this weird and wonderful experience, that is Labyrinth, Starred in, and Created by Music Icon David Bowie. A mention to the many Wonderful Puppeteers involved. RECOMMENDED, though maybe a Required Taste. (ps)

Watched> Thursday, 12th June, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 2 * * Average/Fair < Cert. 15 > I suppose the corniness of the title, goes with the silliness of a 'clown' or in this case, without spoiling the storyline, many clowns in the cornfield. For those who love horror and clowns, you are in for a treat. If you are in to a strong horror type picture with a good story, tense and gripping, then this is NOT for you. Watched> Tuesday, 10th June, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 3.5 * * * Good to Very Good < Cert. 12A > TRUE STORY, about a middle age couple, walking over 200 miles along the south west coastline (Devon & Cornwall) etc. After being evicted from their farm house home, and with very little money, they set off with tent and camping gear on their long journey, despite the fact the husband is dying of an incurable disease. Great watch, despite their ups and many downs along the way. RECOMMENDED. (ps) SADLY, IT TURNS OUT THAT THIS 'TRUE STORY' IS NOT TOATALLY TRUE, AND ACCORDING TO THE 'OBSERVER Newspaper' IT IS ALL A PACK OF LIES. COVERING THE FULL FRONT PAGE OF THE BROADSHEET. Watched> Tuesday, 10th June, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool (In The IMAX Experience Screen 1 in 3D). Rated 5 * * * * * EXCELLENT < Cert. PG > This picture is 'one of' the best films/movies I have seen this year, out of 69. It is a great 'Sunday afternoon' style picture, sat at home with the family. You will love it, whatever your age. Great Animation mixed brilliantly with the humans. Dragons and Humans hit it off well together. Really good storyline, acting and directing. Great action, fun, and entertainment all the way. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (ps)

Watched> Monday, 9th June, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 3.5 * * * Good to Very Good < Cert. 18 > The monster creations are amazing, but the picture overall falls short of the original, back in 1951 (b/w) called 'The Thing From Another World' I Rated 4****stars>Very Good - 8/10, with the suspense and tension it creates from the one monster. The modern filmgoers love this because of the gore, blood and guts, and plenty of it. RECOMMENDED HORROR/ALIEN. (ps)

Watched> Thursday, 12th June, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 4 * * * * Very Good < Cert. 15 > A young Ana de Armas, the killing machine assassin, who is just GREAT!! and uses a modern day 'flame thrower' with such accuracy as she kills whoever get in her way. Watch out Daniel Craig and Tom Cruise, when Ana de Armas is about. Two other top stars are Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane (nice to see him back in films). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (ps)

Watched> Wednesday, 28th May, 2025 @ The Regent Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 6 * * * * * * MASTERPIECE - The Father of all Films/Movies ever made. < Cert. A - 12 and over > This is the very best of the best. Amazing direction from the Director, Fritz Lang. Amazing Acting, and the Amazing Creation of it all, including Architecture and Set Designs are also Amazing. The Father of all films/movies ever made, and way ahead of it's time, even the filmgoers in the cinema clapped, which you don't normally see. (ps)

Watched> Tuesday, 27th May, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 1 * Poor < Cert. 15 > Set and design very good, BUT I did not understand the film/movie at all, and I don't think I will be the only one, with it's wackiness and slapstick, and switching from one scene to another, so abruptly. To describe it in one word - CRAZINESS. Lot's of very good stars in this, most likely because of the uniqueness of Director Wes Anderson over the years, and just want to be in a film/movie by him. I would say this is EXTREMELY Restricted Taste. (ps)

Watched> Monday, 26th May, 2025 @ Edge Water Studios. Rated 4 * * * * Very Good < Cert. 15 > Released in The United Kingdom, on Friday, 17th May, 2025. The story of the famous folklore legend William Tell, who is also famous to this very day, for shooting an apple off his son's head with his cross bow. He fought alongside the peasants of his homeland of Switzerland, against the mighty army of the Austrians, of the day. Enthralling and captivating film/movie, which is also HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (ps)

Watched> Sunday, 25th May, 2025 @ Edge Water Studios. Rated 4 * * * * Very Good < Cert. PG > (Shown on ITV). ANIMATION, at it's very best. Great for the children, and should be enjoyed by the parents, watching with their children. Full of fun and action, with an enjoyable storyline. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (ps)

Watched> Wednesday, 21st May, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 3.5 * * * Good to Very Good < Cert. 15 > I think it could have been given a '12A'. Story of two gangs of lads, one gang in their late teens, and the other gang in their early teens. Though the story revolves mainly around the youngsters, who played their roles really well. They were fun and funny, as they sneak away from their homes to go on a two day adventure. And what an adventure it turns out to be. RECOMMENDED. (ps)

Watched> Wednesday, 21st May, 2025 @ The Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 5 * * * * * EXCELLENT < Cert. 12A > TRUE STORY about the deep sea divers, diving of the Aberdeenshire Coast to check on the Gas Pipeline's deep down in the sea. This job is classed as the most dangerous job in the world. This is very tense throughout, when something goes very badly wrong, with one of the divers. Fun watching Woody Harrelson. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (ps)
