A Viennese composer Von Kemper (John St.Polis), who after murdering both his unfaithful wife and royal lover, flees to America with his young daughter Elsa (Alice Day). Eighteen years later he has become, under an assumed name, a musician in a Broadway restaurant, while Elsa ears her living arranging music for a jazz combo. She and her band-leader beau Al Tyler (Buster Collier) rearrange one of her father's Viennese compositions ...and that leads to the arrest of the elderly composer by the Austrian authorities.

This primarily two-set programmer has a has-been criminal lawyer, Anthony Sommers (William V. Mong) wrongly accused of murder and follows the efforts of his daughter, Molly Sommers (Dorothy Revier), a nightclub singer and two newspapers reporters, Ted Palmer (David Newell) and the inaptly-named Drinkwater (Raymond Hatton), posing as a drunk, to clear him.

John Meadham, has for years been in charge of a West Africa trading post, wire the home office in London that he is tired and worn out, and they need to send a replacement to take over. The company sends a stiff upper-lipper, Charles Summers, accompanied by his wife, Margaret. An antagonism develops between the two men from the moment Summers arrives. This soon leads to a quarrel and then a disagreement between the stuffy, tightly-wound Summers and his wife over who was right in the quarrel. Margaret opines it wasn't him. Ere long, Margaret and Meadham are having an affair. The revolting natives' uprising gives Meadham the chance to save the life of the man he most hates, or save his life and lose the wife. Or hope somebody shows up with a poison arrow.

A Senator accused of bribery on circumstantial evidence and sent to prison, decides to commit suicide so that his daughter will feel free to marry the son of a judge. Story told through the eyes of 10 people, all familiar with the victim and all with varying versions.

An upper-crust artist hires a 'party girl' as a model; romance follows.

18-year-old Rosie Kaplan O'Grady was found as an abandoned baby by O'Grady, an Irish policeman and Kaplan, a Jewish pawnbroker, and raised by them as their own. She is being courted by two men; prizefighter Terry Callahan and a rich socialite, Tommy Sinclair and has to choose between them.

Captain Clive Branch, United States Marine Corps, is stationed at a Marine base in Haiti, and is having affairs with two women, Brenda Ritchie and Helen Arnold, each of whom is married to a Marine Captain. One of the husbands is murdered, and Branch, Helen and Brenda each find themselves high on the list of suspects.

Nightclub entertainer Violet La Tour collapses during a performance in Sagebrush, Texas, and is taken to the ranch of Lon Dixon. They fall in love and are married. Feeling deserted when Lon joins a posse in search of rustlers, she returns to New York. There, she is wooed by her agent, Maurice Kane, but confirms her love for Lon when he comes to claim her.

In spite of her best efforts, a Manhattan model falls in love with a country-hick census taker, while trying to help out her sister and the sister's jobless husband. She also finds time to get involved with a gangster from Chicago.

Lanning heads a vigilante group till Farrell digs up some dirt which turns the vigilantes on him. To save his own reputation, Lanning must bring Farrell to trial.

Young David Kinemon is a good-natured, easy-going lad in a mountain village. Circumstances force him to take his brother's place as mailman for the community, and this brings him into deadly contact with the vicious Hatburn brothers.
