A curious friendship develops between Gombo, a young Mongolian shepherd living with his wife and family in a hut, deep in the wilderness of the steppes, and Sergei, a Russian worker whose truck breaks down not far from Gombo's hut.

A portrait of a deserted fisherman's village in Northern Norway called Børfjord - a place with an incredible personality in the middle of a magnificent Arctic nature. The 12 minute short film was filmed in 70mm Super Panavision, using a specially developed "nature animation" technique. The result is a magic flight in one single shot, along the remains of an internal village road. At the same time a whole year passes by at 50 000 times normal speed! Most of the year, the village of Børfjord lies empty with virgin snow between cold houses. People show up only during a short and hectic summer season. But the cycles of nature go on as they have always done, totally independent of what people might do.

He writes that Sweden is a wonderful country with high salaries, free health care and most important, the girls are beautiful. In short, it is a paradise and Giuseppe travels to Sweden to work. But, as he soon finds out, Franco was not completely frank with him. The taxes are high, the coffee is like dish-water, no wine at the restaurant and worst of all - no billiards!

This is a film about young people finding their way, falling in love and experiencing disappointment. It's Finland in the early 60s, leading a quiet, sheltered life. Martti dreams of being "Iskelmäprinssi" (The Prince Of The Hit Parade), and finally makes it in the world of music. Rami dreams of being a race car driver. Two maidens - Sini and Bambi - have dreams of their own, but would need to go to compromise, if they want to support the boys they have fallen in love with. The films sports a brilliant 1960s atmosphere, complete with many unforgettable musical performances from Paul Anka, Umberto Marcato and the rest of the cast. The plot itself is only skin deep, but it was the goal of the director/writer Juha Tapaninen to recreate a movie musical of a more naive, carefree era. In that, he has succeeded very well.

Beautiful, detached, laconic, consumptive Lily Brest is a streetwalker with few clients. She loves her idle boyfriend Raoul who gambles away what little she earns. The town's power broker, called the rich Jew, discovers she is a good listener, so she's soon busy. Raoul imagines grotesque sex scenes between Lily and the Jew; he leaves her for a man. Her parents, a bitter Fascist who is a cabaret singer in drag and her wheelchair-bound mother, offer no refuge. Even though all have a philosophical bent, the other whores reject Lily because she tolerates everyone, including men. She tires of her lonely life and looks for a way out. Even that act serves the local corrupt powers.
