-En couverture, L'Asie extrême & Ebola Syndrome : l'éditeur Spectrum Films lâche sur l’Hexagone l’un des films les plus méchants et malpolis de l’Histoire : EBOLA SYNDROME, fleuron indépassable de la Category III hongkongaise. Un bel écho à la sortie salles de THE SADNESS, et qui nous a donné envie d’explorer plus en profondeur les excès pelliculés venus d’Asie. Attention, dossier qui tache !
-Ennio Morricone : à l’occasion de la sortie en salles du documentaire Ennio de Giuseppe Tornatore, balade sonore dans les recoins les plus mad de la discographie du maestro, où se côtoient westerns, giallos, polars et fantasy.
-Everything Everywhere All at Once : après Swiss Army Man, les Daniels passent la seconde et livrent l’un des films les plus dingues de l’année, où la déesse Michelle Yeoh se démultiplie au sein d’un multivers ahurissant d’inventivité… et de connerie assumée ! Le duo de réalisateurs nous explique comment ils ont mis sur pied ce condensé de folie filmique.
-Ari Aster : invité d’honneur du Champs-Élysées Film Festival, le réalisateur d'Hérédité et Midsommar, actuellement en montage de son prochain film, nous a accordé un peu de son temps pour parler de cinéma horrifique, de sa position au sein de Hollywood et de ses liens avec la firme A24.
-Vigilante Movies : en compagnie de Yal Sadat, auteur de l’excellent bouquin Vigilante : la justice sauvage à Hollywood, retour sur un genre hâtivement taxé de simpliste et réactionnaire, aux racines historiques et ressorts psychologiques bien plus complexes qu’il n’y paraît.
-Daniel Waters : le scénariste de Fatal Games, Hudson Hawk, gentleman et cambrioleur, Batman, le défi et Demolition Man avait forcément des choses à raconter sur son parcours hollywoodien et sa conception du cinéma. Ça tombe bien, nous étions là pour écouter !
