This is a compilation of movies and documentaries in which the former Inner German border, the Berlin wall or other European sections of the "Iron Curtain" are depicted, including border patrols, escape attempts and scenes at border crossing points.

"Un Certain Regard" section exists since 1978 and was built by Gilles Jacob out of 3 "Out of Competition" categories, to support films which are too "untypical/different" for the main competition. Since 1998 the best film of this category is awarded with the "Un Certain Regard" prize. ----- As there wasn't held a 2020 edition of the Cannes Festival, 56 Films were announced, which would have been played on the different categories such as the Un Certain Regard one.
