Welcome to Rewinding the '80s, a series of lists in which I indulge in a massive nostalgia trip by embarking on a retrospective of my favorite era of pop culture.  I will be watching and/or re-watching numerous titles from that golden, glorious decade and listing them all here for posterity. This includes feature films, made-for-TV movies and miniseries, individual TV episodes, and short films, all listed in chronological order by their original release/air dates. Many of these titles were seen during their original releases.  Some were watched in later years.  Others still, I will be viewing for the first time.

When the '80s began, I was 7 years old and in second grade, and  this  (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078607/) was my favorite show. The year 1980 also saw the release of the first of the two movies that would define my childhood and have a significant impact on me.  You'll know it when you see it.  (Hint:  it's on page 5.) In June, second grade came to an end, and the first summer vacation of the '80s began.   It was a great time to be a kid.

The Decline of Western Civilization (1981)

100 years of movies and TV about old Hollywood stars and filmmakers - stories set in that time and place, biopics of golden age personalities, and movies actually produced during the time of classic Hollywood that are about the moviemaking industry (plus a handful about the pioneering film industries in Britain and Europe). A handful of the titles below are high quality productions, most are forgettable, some are truly awful.
