my goal in life is to watch every single teen movie/romcom every produced (or at least listed) on imdb.  Tags are the easiest marker, but bottom line is if the protagonist is 13-19 and there is another lead that the character wants to fuck, also counts if it hits my teen feels too

Filipino Films You Should Watch Before You Gets Too Old

No, it's not great movie lines as performed by over-the-hill actors in a whisper...it's my favorite horror films.  

Horror has never really been my favorite genre - of the several kinds of films that the French label fantastique, I tend to prefer science fiction and fantasy - and a large portion of the films here have those elements, or at least involve the supernatural in some way. Garden-variety slasher films aren't my cuppa - the original Halloween is the only American film from the heyday of this sub-genre, ca 1976-1995, on this list; nor am I much interested in many of the "torture porn" type things from recent years.  Psychological, "weird" and transgressive films lie closer to my heart, and those make up a fair chunk of the list.  Also lots f Poe and Lovecraft adaptations - most not great as digests of the original stories, mind you, but some pretty great as cinema on their own. 

But I'm willing to try anything, and I expect this list to change a lot as my interest in horror has expanded a bit in the last few years.  Anyway...top 55 ranked, then chronological.
